Go cry to your Momma dude. Pulev was holding much more then Wlad in this match. And you finally need to accept that clinches is part of the boxes and its from the very begining. Its tactical thing. And every good tactical fighter know its better to clinch when you get hit big, rather then get Koed or catched by more shots.

The new Wlad? What the hell are those people on? It was a great fight to watch and it was Pulev who used the more dirty tactics.

 

he aint new, still fights the same. gets away with too much holding. but fight was more entertaining because wlad pressed the action

Show me a fight where Ruiz performed at the TOP LEVEL like Wlad did last week against Pulev.. Ruiz never performed that well, NEVER. If you were a fan of the Pre-Steward Wlad as you say then you'd be content with that performance, and not drawing comparisons to John Ruiz.

 

Which is precisely what makes Wlad more unlikeable than John Ruiz.
John Ruiz had little choice but to grab and clinch as his skill level was below average.

Wladimir Klitschko on the other hand has immense talent and yet for fights on end goes on a jab and clinch routine that like the thread starter indicated would make John Ruiz look like Mayweather Jr. in comparison.

To have the size and talent that Vladimir has and have to resort to tactics that should by rightful means get him disqualified, really is frustrating to watch if you're a fan of boxing.

There is nothing wrong with Klitschko fight. He have 65 fight with 2-3 with more then normal clinches and this clinches was tactical ones.
So you know what you can do, you can only cry and cry and cry to your momma about it. Thats all you can do, and hate and hate more, but Wlad willl KTFO with victory after victory, so you will be more mad about it !!!
And its fun how they all say Wlad pay to referees, if that was the case, why Kubrat wasnt get point reduction for doing so much rabbit punches ?
How exactly Wlad was beaten by the Brewster? He was hitted a lot after the bell and by the rules Wlad should be given time to get on track, and point reduction for Brewster ... How Wlad was knocked down vs Peter? Two of the knockdown was in the back of the head and should not be a knockdown but should be warning for Sam Peter.
And you crying about Wlad clinches?
Just watch Boytzov vs Alex Leapai and see how many clinches was in this fight and watch Klitschko vs Leapai, where clinches just dont exist ...

 

Lots of fighters have used clinching tactics, including Ali and Duran, both of them held exessively in certain fights but they also fought.
Wlad vs Povetkin? Good lord, name me an Ali or Duran fight worst than that. Hell name me even a John Ruiz fight?

Povetkin have a tactic, so Wlad as well and thats what happen when Povetkin didnt change the tactic.

Imo he hasn't changed dramatically, stylewise speaking and besides the povetkin fight, which really was awful- admittedly (but this could be attributed to the both of them, though for different reasons) Wlad doesn't clinch excessively more than other big men in recent heavyweight history have done, such as LL for instance. Think you re being a little too harsh on him, he's not lost in a decade and took on all comers most of which he ko ed, but knowing you a bit I think you might be up for a good wind up laugh here :hey Hope you re still selling tons of mobile phones (wonder how many you ve sold in the period of time since Wlad last lost a bout).

 

If you want any fighter KO'd, you're not a fan of the sport anyways.
