I was a tough champ/retired,then boilermaker

    I was a tough guy.My opponent said of me,"I was the only guy he knew
    who could start a fight in an empty room ".I ,as an old fighter defeated
    a sensational comer who kod 29 out of 32 bouts.I was very well respected by my peers.Who am I ?

    Dougie, right you are Fritzie Zivic it is..Fritzie ,was one of the 5 fighting Zivics of Pittsburgh..Zivic had 232 fights against the best fighters of his great era.He beat amongst others Charley Burley, Eddie Booker, Henry Armstrong, Sammy Angott, etc. In 1940,Zivic fought the hard punching
    Lew Jenkins [no shrinking violet himself], who said after the brawl,"Zivic
    is the only guy i know who could start a fight in an empty room ".
    I saw Zivic fight in 1945 a murderous prospect Billy Arnold of Philly,who Kod 29 out of 32 fights.Arnold was called the new "Joe Louis".He was a
    big favorite over the 32 year old Zivic, but Fritzie was too crafty and
    tough, and whipped the new Joe Louis..Tough old bird was Zivic. b.b.:good
