For me, it was a definite Castillo round.

What about that ref though? He was ****ing dire the whole way through I thought.

    "Calm down"?? :patsch

I just wanted to punch him.

Drac is not a very good ref.

He wasn't biased against either fighter, he was just incompetent to the point of shite. He shouldn't have let Floyd hit JLC after the bell, but he also shouldn't have let JLC hammer away at Floyd's back!

I couldn't stop laughing at Merchant blowing his stack at the ref in round 9. Priceless.

He wasn't biased at all, just did some random stupid ****.

    Merchant always comes through.

Anyway though. Floyd pulled through in the rematch with a healthy shoulder and won clearly.

Of course people always say, he rematched him because he knew he lost.

If he wouldn't of rematched him people would of said he ducked him. :nut

IMO Floyd lost the fight but won the rematch more clearly. He was a much better fighter than Castillo. I wish his win had been more emphatic though, like v Corrales. That was a huge fight for Floyd, but I came away a little disappointed. IMO he didn't really produce. He won comfortably, but it was not a virtuoso performance.

No way in hell was that fight 3-2-1 after the first six. I will just come out and say anyone that gave Castillo two of the first six rounds was flat out GIVING the guy rounds, because he didnt win them.

How would the point deductions change the margin of scoring? They each had one point deducted, so they cancel each other out; a 116-112 score becomes 115-111, but it's still the same margin. No matter what, a judge would still have to give Mayweather 8 rounds in order to give him a 4-point margin. That's way overboard.

    Because

Let's say you score both rounds to one of them.

Example. Mayweather earns 10-8 and 9-9 in the round instead of the vice versa for Castillo.

Maywaether loses 1 instead of 2-3.

I still don't see how that would change the margin of scoring.

If Mayweather gets 10-8 and 9-9 in those two rounds, then he comes out with a combined score of 19-17 for those rounds, a two-point margin.

If there's no point deductions, then Mayweather would get those rounds 10-9 each, which would come out to 20-18, still a two-point margin.

Point deductions or not, the margin should stay the same.

I scored it like that, and I gave two rounds to PBF that I thought were dubious. I'm convinced Castillo won that fight. Close but very, very clear.

I scored rd 3 even - more or less nothing happened of any significance, FMJ landed those straight lefts to the body repeatedly but nothing really behind them & not all looked to be landing either & Castillo landed one decent punch when FMJ was against the ropes & nothing at all that I seen... even round.

Rd 4 was a Mayweather rd - he outmaneuvered JLC & simply landed more shots, JLC did land a good punch near the end but not enough to pull level like he did in rd 3 IMO.

Round 4 was 1 of Floyd's best rounds of the fight, JLC only landed jabs to the body in that round and FMJ was using and landing his full arsenal (sort of). JLC tried to get some head shots off but failed in that round
