I know, I know, he just fights whoever his management puts in front of him. Thats great for an up and coming fighter and I have always loved that Cotto just took on whoever was in front of him.

But this man is no longer up and coming, he is P4P material and there is only one fight in this division that makes sense for him. He has to seize his moment and be of the mentality that thats the fight he wants IMO.

I would like him to say: "Its my time. I want the winner of Mayweather vs Hatton. I feel Im the best and there is only one fight for me out there and I want Bob Arum to make it happen. NOW".

No need to call them out. He just beat the number 1 contender. Its obvious he will fight the winner.

People can say whatever they want, It's what they do that counts.

    Is it?

There is some feeling that Mayweather wont want to fight him, Cotto should be calling his number now. He needs to apply public preasure for the fight, and there is no better place to do it than when the world is watching.

Thats part of how Hatton got this upcoming match with Mayweather.

 have u forgotten shane mosley has more power than mayweather and even judah himself, they landed pretty well in cottos chin, and cotto came right back with his left... in all his last three fights, all fighters have express there surprise with cottos speed... so how can those be weaknesses:huh

I don't think he called out anybody because maybe he felt he got away barely with a win. I think Mosley took away some of his confidence :yep

I don't think he needs to . . . because sooner or later everybody knows that fight is going to happen.

It's not Cotto's way to HYPE and get attention. :D

maybe he's just a classy guy who doesn't need to talk **** after his fights, and would instead prefer to let his actions speak louder than words :hey

In this day and age where everyone is calling everyone else out, beating their chests, bragging about their abilities, etc, it's actually refreshing to see someone like Cotto going about things so professionally and determinedly.

Guys who need attention make call outs....serious fighters make LEGIT offers to the others camp.
