I was impressed with JCC Jr's performance tonight

To be honest, although I saw major improvement by Chavez Jr, I really don't know what to make out of this victory because Duddy has no movement/defense whatsoever.

Chavez impressed me in his punch variety and improved speed. Most importantly, in those moments where he had lapses and reverted to old bad habits, he corrected them before going back to the corner. His performance tonight is promising.

I didnt see a lot of skill. I saw a lot of power, a great chin and margarito-like stamina. Good on the kid.

 

Didnt plan on forking out moolah to watch JCC. Seen some of his previous fights vs fodder and was VERY unimpressive. Sounds great if he was able to crank up his speed, cuz his punches were hella-slow. Assume he picked up on his punch output?
