I was impressed with Roy Jones' performance last night

I was really impressed with Jones. I know he's commentated before, and I appreciated his insight, but he really outdid himself last night. There was one point where it seemed as though the team was going to follow Kellerman's observation that Foreman "found something" and was turning the fight around. But Jones correctly observed that Foreman didn't find anything except a sense of urgency and can't at all sustain what he's doing. The team followed his lead, and Foreman lost every single round afterwards.

Jones did a great job establishing the strategic and analytical lead and prevented the team from embarrassing themselves trying to find a "Foreman comeback angle" that never would have happened.

I don't know how much truth there is to the rumors that HBO is "auditioning" people for the Lennox Lewis spot, but I can't think of anybody I would rather have as a replacement than Jones.

    Well, maybe Tyson.

Yeah, he should've taken a bow after that outstanding performance.

Jones is the ****ing man. He injects equal parts humour, enthusiasm and salient commentary into the mix every time. Here's hoping the commentary chair is enough to keep him out of the ring for good.

Haven't seen the fight yet so haven't heard his commentary, and to be honest as I've mentioned before, I can't remember any of his commentary on any fight (not the sort of thing I take notice of). But if he's as good as people say he is, and he's a star name, he seems the obvious choice to do the job full-time.

RJJ, certainly if it means he finally quits boxing... It's sad to see him in the ring nowadays.
