Hearns just completely destroying Cuevas. Wasn't even a competitive fight at all. Jerry Martin beating James Scott. Duran quitting in the second SRL fight. Bramble beating Mancini. Bramble seemed like too much of a weirdo to take as a serious threat.
Was predictable if you followed andy from the parker fight. He beat parker with zero mitt work from able sanchez. He was motivated from that robbery and was in 10x better shape for the aj fight.
Saw Ali/Foreman Foreman/Frazier Norton/Ali sort of live ( via satellite ) into a London picture house.
Jones being KOed by Tarver. I expected Jones to recover from his sub par performance in the first fight and give a better showing in the rematch. If Tarver had outpointed him, I would have been surprised but not shocked but a clean KO, nope... didn't see it coming at all.
This was one of the first fights that came to my mind. If Tarver had knocked him out in the first fight it would’ve made sense, given that Roy had to cut weight. But now that Jones had two training camps under his belt to acclimatize back to 175 I was fully expecting “RJ” and a replay of the Montel Griffin rematch, where Jones would smoke Antonio. Not only did Roy get KOd, but he was knocked out by one punch and in the 2nd round. Incredible.
Holmes - Shavers I Spinks - Ali I M. Spinks - Cooney Curry - McCrory Byrd - V. Klitschko Bowe - Golota I Douglas - Tyson Fury - Wilder II Weaver - Tate Tarver - Jones II
I was shocked when Mike Weaver after getting outboxed by Big John Tate landed a lefthook. Timber!!!! Real power in round 15. I've felt Mike Weaver was the hardest puncher I've seen. I was shocked when Simon Brown went down from a lefthook by Vincent Pettway. He keep throwing punches on his back while out.
