In my Opinion he looked better than he ever has.

    Took His Time
    Looked 1000 times more comfortable
    Fought Way more intelligent
Developed a good pace for himself
Way more in control then the previous wild ricky hatton
    Didnt Force Too much...

Maybe its that he was fighting mali and mali wasnt looking that great last night but regardless hatton put on a great performance and i think floyd sr made a tremendous difference in his fighting style

im happy for hatton for putting on a good showing and showing he still has some thing left in the tank

Yep he didnt just kept doing that throw the left hook over then fall into the opponent and work on the inside. He was great overall. Was always on the front foot coming foward and didnt get as hit as much as he used to.

Great performance, if he had fought like that against PBF it probably would have gone the full 12 rounds and been closer on the score cards but would have still lost.

He also walked right at Paulie, cause he knew he would not get hurt, that's why he got tagged quite a few times, cause he wasn't afraid of being hit, he was well relaxed

I agree, and whats most impressive is he looked good against an apponent who is very awkward to fight and look good against.
I have watched hatton his entire career and this is the most fit and agile i have seen him look.
He was even bouncing on his feet in the last few rounds, his stamina was far better, and he seemed to pick his shots better.
Its not rocket science that against pbf he fought the wrong fight totally by coming in all guns blazing waving his chin in the air and getting nailed.
Floyd senior working with hatton has obviously been a great influence but lets give hatton credit also for ditching a traner he has spent a career with, realising he wasnt learning new things that can help his boxing.
That shows how much Hatton loves the sport and how much he wants to continue in the sport learning new things.
Great to see him look back close to his best last night.
Give him another year with floyd senior and I think it will be a far better ricky hatton.

Hes still got a suspect defense, but it was a good performance. However, I think halfway after the big punch was landed in the 2nd the fight was basically over. Malignaggi wasnt going to go down but he wasnt going to go on the offensive, which makes Hatton look better.

Hatton needs a higher quality opponent before we can say if hes really back to his best. Zab Judah or Timothy Bradley next, if I was Hatton. Then Pac/JMM

Yeah I wonder if this was a great performance for hatton based on mali's performance (lack of) or hatton really having it together

    regardless good job hatton

i thought he dumped his old trainer (ghram i think) because he was getting old and couldnt keep up with hattons training pace...

if the trainer couldnt get 100% to his fighter.. the fighter could never reach 100% performance level

Billy graham wasnt teaching hatton anything new and was also struggling to keep up in training, but hatton has said about billy graham struggling before and having to have painkilling injections into his hands to take the punches.
However this was not the main reason hatton left graham, the reason was they were no longer seeing eye to eye on hattons career and the way to go forward and thats why hatton decided enough was enough he needed a fresh appraoch new ideas to prolong his career.
