When he had lost to Vince Phillips Mercant was talking bad to him at the interview I was thinking what a shame, because I like Mercant. Then I was watching him against Urkal Jim Grey was talking **** , because he put on a bad performance and Tszyu told him don't be rude and he was still talking ****. Then when he beats Zab showtime is on his dick and HBO WANTS HIM.
Well Mercant was in his rights to be hard on Tszyu because before that fight the talk of tszyu was he was the next JCC and then he fights Vince and get knocked out.
No I don't think so, he told larry next time we fight I will do better. Then Larry told him no you wont and took the mic from him. I just thought it was **** up.
Larry was acting like Kostya lost him cash by losing that fight. That wasn't exactly Merchant's shining moment.
One expects more from Larry than beeing disrespectful like that. Most times I think Merchant is great because he doesn´t only suck up, but also pressures the fighters a bit if they don´t live up to it. But he shouldn´t step over the line beeing rude, that´s not cool...only embarrasing to watch.
Merchant's job is to ask the questions and tell the fighters how we the viewer are probably feeling at home and what we would like to know, he does a great job of that most of the time, ignorant or not. Thats part of the reason I dislike Kellerman, he turns into a ***** when he does interviews, I dont know about you guys, but I want know why my favorite fighter didnt go for the knockout in the last round, when his corner told him he was losing the fight.
I´ll pick Merchant over Kellerman any day also. Kelleman get cought in the moment and is not near as good.
Merchant's the only one worth keeping on the HBO team, Lampley's an idiot who talks nonstop and all of it's bollocks, always commenting on how great missed punches were, Kellerman....well, need I say anything? Merchant may be a cantankerous old **** (not a bad thing really) but at least his opinions are his own and he doesn't mind voicing them.
