Ali? The guy who declined to go to war and take a weapon in his hands and so gave his best years and millions of $ away? The hardcore muslim? Cmon man!

 

For that to happen, Ali would have to have had a gun extremely handy in order to try to shoot on sight. He also would have had an extreme shift in character in which he had no regard or respect for a rival's life, and no consequential thought about going to prison and portraying his community as a bunch of thuggish undisciplined animals.

I can see an extremely set of circumstances playing out to create a scenario similar to what is said to have happened, but I doubt Muhammad Ali tried to murder Joe Frazier with a gun.

 

putting all of the evaluations of ali's character and the fact that it doesn't seem like ali would've done that, ali shooting at frazier would have been a much more commonly known thing among boxing fans and sports fans in general at the time, and now, if it were true.

documentary done way back says ali didn't point the gun to frazier's direction when he fired it.

 

He even took time out of his day and training schedule to go out of his way and troll. It puts the current premier troll of this era Mayweather to shame.

 

It's true apparently, got it on a Documentary made by Channel 4 (not the actual footage). I don't think he shot at them, but was saying he was going to and Frazier's team thought he was gonna shoot. Just Ali mind games.

 

Good thing Joe Frazier wasn't the type to go file a lawsuit.
