(Take note Lucien Bute fans - I do not mind admitting when I am wrong)

I have given Pavlik alot of stick recently I admit it. I felt he was letting the fans down & I don't follow boxing loike I follow football - ie support a team (in this sutaiton a boxer) no matter what. I'm here to watch great fights and see great stylistic matchups & don't appreciate the money excuses that get thrown around too often.

To that effect I was upset Pavlik avoided Abraham but fighting Williams is a good way to make up for it. Not exactly the fight I wished for but certainly very close to it. This should be an interesting fight that could go either way - a pressure fighter dominating or a slickster outboxing.

    May the best boxer win!

    War Oct 3rd!!!!! :bbb

I wouldn't call Williams a slickster...but I agree with the rest of your sentiments.

I wouldn't either. Kind of quick handed, and his defense has improved, but he's not exactly a ghost in the ring. You can find Williams.

Just to make it count, I don't believe Pavlik avoided AA, I think he wanted the fight, Top Rank certainly didn't want it and maybe his trainer felt unconfortable with the matchup as well.

We have some good fights coming up....Pavlik-Williams, Pac Man-Cotto, Klit-Arreola.

And some stinkers....RJones Jr-Lacy and Haye-Valuev come to mind.

I think legit fight for the first time in a long long time.

At the moment the two best middleweights or thereabouts are going to dance.

    Lets not hate on it.

Pavlik fan here who likes watching Williams fight. I think it is 52/48 but only a Bees dick in it.

GOOD GOOD GOOD GOOD....hmmm maybe i didnt articulate my point well enough...

    good

Jack and Kelly wanted the fight. In an interview with Jack he said he had been talking about it with Kelly and neither understood how it DIDN'T happen.
