Man i need to start studying and watching fight's more before i go off on one and open my stupid trap like i did. :patsch

I've just studied this one and i've been overly harsh on the old man and ended up giving it him by 2 rounds.

I wish i could go back and edit my posts but the damage has been done.

I'm probably not the only one who got a bit carried away and needs to study this one a bit.

Tbh they need to do this one again.

Fair play mate. Everyone knows I'm not a Calzaghe fan but I thought Hopkins won too.

Anyone can score a fight wrongly first time round, especially when there's emotions flying about. I thougt it was close and was sneaking towards Hopkins. When I studied the replay though, I had Calzaghe winning by 3/4. If someone decides that Hopkins won this fight after studying it for a second time then they really do need to study a lot more fights

It can be an enlightening experience watching a fight again without the adrenalin pumping through your veins. Its amazing how differently you can see a fight on the second viewing.

So the both of you had watched the fight twice, & both of you decided different men won the fight on the second watch, & then you claim the other guy is in the wrong?

Jeez, I have seen it all on here now...

Point is I didn't score it the first time round. I was just sat there with a pile of cans. My gut instinct was it was going to Hopkins as it was such a scrappy fight and it didn't help when Rawling said Calzaghe needs a BIG last round. I only scored it when I watched it the second time round sober.

Fight was not even close. Ruiz imitation did not work for Hopkins. Throw one punch, lead with the head, grab, hold on for dear life and repeat. Ruiz, no doubt about it.

Exactly, I find it ridiculous that anyone would award rounds for that. And in many of the rounds, that's literally all Hopkins did.

The Punchstats tell their own story in terms of who came to fight, who tried to fight, who threw the punches. Now if throwing and landing almost double to your opponent doesn't win you the fight, it's a sorry affair.

Tuffie, I realise second viewings can be very enlightening, but to swing this drastically... your judgement is somehow awry, it has to be.

Stopped?...calzaghe is lucky hopkins output is so low, otherwise hopkins would have stopped him. Calzaghe faced a true fighter, what happend to overwhelming people with speed? huh?, why didn't calzaghe go crazy like he does when he gets dropped? cause he was facing a fighter of note worthy for the first time, and he got beat. hahaha.
