Congrats to Hopkins, he did what he does and won the fight.

I was surprised how extreme you were in your conviction that Hopkins would lose. I have read enough of your boxing posts that this almost seemed less balanced than your typical posts (and I mean this respectfully). I simply didn't understand your outlook on that one.

Rest assured, we are all guilty for overstating a badly wrong prediction in the lead-up to a contest.

This isn't half as bad as the **** bag piece I wrote with the title, "De La Hoya will Inevitably Beat Pacquiao".

Man I just didn't anticipate Cloud being that passive. A far younger Hopkins was out hustled twice by a relatively lesser fighter (Jermain). I didn't expect Cloud to destroy him, I assumed he would use his physicality to simply outwork him...as seen when Cloud pressed the fight and worked he controlled the fight, but he just didn't...bottom line. Props to Hopkins he did what he needed to do.

Like I said. Cloud was dangerous, but not consistent. Although I must say he was more consistent than I'd seen in the past. But even so, I could clearly say "oh ok this is a round Cloud is suddenly deciding to pick up the pace."

I'm extremely glad we got competent judges tonight. Especially with Don the devil King there. Hopkins edged his rounds, Cloud was the aggressor, this could have easily ended in a corrupt draw or SD for Cloud.

You called it my dude, hope y'all had fun, I thought it was closer than the cards, but shouldn't have been that close. Cloud didn't do the work point blank.
