Timing beats speed, and Manny stops throwing when getting outclassed. Which means, Danny Garcia is all bad for Manny. And Manny focusing on speed says that he knows he will not be able to compete with Algeiri's boxing, and he thinks he will be able to athletically bull doze Chris. It is the right game plan because he will not be able to out box Chris, but he if tries to bull doze Chris and it does not work we will be seeing one sad, confused Manny in that ring.

Because nobody was taking into consideration the weight difference and how dropping the weight would affect Oscar. If you think he was healthy, I guess you think Martinez was healthy when he fought Cotto too, right?

What? Both of those men were considered the "A-Side".

They chose to fight at that weight. If they were so concerned that the weight would effect themselves then they shouldn't have taken the fights.

    Agree,

Also from what I remember, before the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight was even signed, boxing experts was considering this fight as a ''Joke'' because of the fact that Pacquiao is moving up 2 weight classes while De La Hoya fought Steve Forbes @ 150 to only lose 3 pounds to be at 147.

De La Hoya shouldn't have signed the contract if he knew he was going to be drained, He was the ''A Side and the name'' against Pacquiao.

that "oscar was drained" bull**** was dissproven by oscar himself, when he retired. he knew he was done. if he thought it was just a weight problem he would have come back and fought at 154 to prove to everyone, and himself, that he was drained. truth is, he never bothered to challenge pac, or anyone else, ever again.

Boxing fans these days have poor short-term memories. Pacquiao was far from a superstar when Oscar offered him a boatload of cash to fight at 147 (after just annihilating a nobody in David Diaz). Nobody in the boxing world in December 2008 was expecting a lopsided beatdown by Pacquiao, not even me.

Oscar was drained? lol. Oscar wanted the fight to happen for monetary reasons, and Manny just tagged along.

Floyd is the only one who can beat Manny at 140 or 147. It's not a given....but he should be a slight favorite if the fight ever took place.....which of course it won't but there are some good fights to be made with Manny moving down to 140. It creates more ripples in boxing between 147 and 140. I think it's a good look if Manny looks good in his up coming fight with Chris. Not buying it but will be watching.

Danny would get hurt....bad! He wouldn't be able to deal with the speed and combinations coming from the southpaw stance. His timing is good and has solid skills but Danny ain't on Pac's level....neither is Chris. No one has outclassed PAC....he's been beaten and stopped but never outclassed. Manny has always put up competitive fights, even in the ones he's lost.

He's planning the move down to 140.....PAC fights twice a year....it's a test to see how he looks and feels to see if it's a move that he will make or reject. Some fighters who are talented enough to fight in multiple weight classes do catch weights before moving down or up. DLH did it before moving down to 147.

If you don't think Oscar was drained then you're the one who has short-term memory.

Oscar wasn't a catch weight fight. It was 147. Cotto was a catch weight fight but do you think it was the reason Manny completly dominated? Cotto is naturally bigger than PAC.....walking around weight and how they carry the weight is a good way to judge who is bigger or smaller.... Not the what they weigh in as. Mike Tyson was only 5'11.....it would be line saying Paul Williams is bigger than Mike becuase his reach and height is greater than that of Tyson. The DLH fight wasn't going to happen as many were boycotting the fight as acomplete mismatch.......not in favor of the man moving down a weight class but the man jumping up TWO.

If the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight doesn't happen, Would like to see Pacquiao move down to 140 and fight other champions and win belts @ 140.
