Well, typically to all boxers ..we only wash our hand wraps when we have to ..so after my workout yesterday..they were stinking, so I had to...I keep 5 sets on my bag so I can rotate them daily..and all 3 were in sad condition..so I wash them, and after I dried them..I spent 2 hours pulling then apart and re-wrapping them for tomorrow...locally the red set, all the other sets are black, were the easiest to untangle it took me just 30 minutes to untangle an rewrapped for my work out today....damm last time I do that..I need to put them in individual bags on the washer..

Anyone of you guys have gone thru this ordeal

soak them in soapy water and wash them manually instead of putting them in the washing machine. it will save you time. i swear.

    Nope, I fight bare-knuckle.

Seriously though, try hand washing separately, it's quicker and they don't tangle in the spin cycle.:good

:huh ..well ..what are you trying to say....

A little clarification for you, since you never box looks like...

you use hand wraps rather than gauze because it is fast and easy and you can wrap your own hands with ease...sactioned boxing matches required tape/gauze wraps, each boxer will have a commisioning official checking the process while you are getting your hands wraps by your trainer...he can approved it or disapproved...if approved he will write his initial on each hand....so no room for cheating at this point...each state has its own rules when it comes to hand wraps in the avearge you have 1 roll of tape and with 1.5 rol of gauze...across the World, all boxing commision find illegal to go across the knuckles....Ok...

Now, let me tell you, the basis behind hand wraps in boxing IS NOT to create a hammer hand but to protect the hand..sure you try to make it as hard as you can...it is allowed, but the basic premise and upmost reason for wraps is to protect the hands...protect three areas of the hand: back of the hand, the wrist and the thumb

This made me laugh because I go through this a lot. I always say I am going to hand wash them next time, but never do. It's amazing how tightly the wraps get knotted together after one session in the washer/dryer. I have the same as you, about 5 sets of wraps to keep me going, but always end up with a spaghetti clusterf*** after I wash them.

It drives me CRAZY my man. Can't stand after machine washed wraps get all twisted about and tangled up. People always tell me just to stick them in a sink with some soap and let them just soak... but I always just stick them in the washing machine, even though I plan on doing the other :p

My hand wraps just smell terrible. I never wash them and just wash the **** out of my hands after using them. I havent washed these pair in like a year. LOL. If they get too nasty, i'll just get a new pair.
