I had never seen the 1st fight until today, I own the 2nd fight & had seen it 4 or 5 times already.

    Am I wrong here.....

The 1st fight was quite a close one that could have gone either way, Castillo probably should have kept his title because he was forcing the fight & kind of took Floyd out of his boxing game but the Lederman card of 116-111 in favour of Castillo was way off... as were the official scores of similar margin in Mayweather`s favour.

The 2nd fight was a clear victory for Mayweather, at least 116-112 & the judges had it too close this time.

    Thoughts ? :think

Agree. Mayweather lost the 1st one and won the 2nd one by wider scores than given.

Haven't watched the first fight in a while - I remember scoring it 115-113 for Floyd. I wouldn't have complained if it went to Castillo by the same margin.
The second fight was a clear victory for Mayweather - I had it 116-112 as well.
Their first encounter was a very close fight with some hard-to-score rounds but it wasn't the "robbery" it's made out to be.
Close fights being remembered as robberies is one of my pet hates.

The first fight was very close. I don't argue with anyone who had Castillo winning.

Yeah, me too.... it kinda takes the spotlight off REAL robberies.
The word `robberies` is horribly overused, almost every big fight that goes the distance, the fans of the beaten fighter claim robbery, they forget what robbery actually means. A close fight aint a robbery even if you thought the loser edged it... a robbery is when one man SHOULD get it & the OTHER man gets it.

Sometimes when there's a first fight that's close and disputable, judges tend to tighten up due to the heightened hysteria and what not about potential decisions. Judges wind up giving fighters who might've gotten (robbed) the benefit of the doubt over last time.

Floyd close 1st fight. Floyd clear 2nd fight.

Gotta give Castillo credit though, low blows, punching the hips, holding and hitting ect anything to get the victory, made Floyd real uncomfortable in there.

Every time I watch the fight I have it 114-112 for Floyd. Ledermans scorecards had three key errors, which is why his scorecard was so wide:

1.He gave Castillo the 3rd which is just wrong. I don't think Castillo landed close to 10 punches, while Floyd landed 20 or more.

    2. He also gave him the 10th for Castillo by TWO points, when Floyd imo was winning the round.

    3. He scored the 11th for Castillo which at the most was a draw IMO.

On another note had the referee done his job Castillo would have lost points on several occasions, Castillo threw and landed several punches BELOW the belt that I believe were counted in the compubox stats and the judges ignored, rightfully.

Agree with this post,i gave floyd the 1st fight last time i scored it, would have had no complaints if castillo won however.Certainly no robbery

The round where Castillo starts pounding on Floyds back, that was classic.

I remember honestly scoring the first fight for Castillo. He outworked Floyd and seemed to keep himon the ropes for the duration of the fight. Now that may have been due to Floyd having a bad shoulder or some other problem - but regardless - Castillo deserved the victory in their first encounter. The second fight was all Mayweather - but his "0" should have already gone to Jose Luis Castillo.
