I watched De la Hoya vs Mosley II last night and it seemed clear that Oscar won....

Oscar won that fight. I wonder why with Oscars stature and influence he always gets the short end of the stick (except for the Strum fight).

I remember Thinking Hoya schooled Mosley with an easy win until the decision was rendered...then i watched Mosley's reaction and laughed my ass off!!! LOL!! The dude(Mosley) looked like...a damn beauty contestant winner when he heard the decision.

The Whitaker/Chavez decision was much more of a joke than either DLH/Mosley or DLH/Sturm.

oscar won that fight with the speed of the left jab, thats why zab thinks he has a great chance in beating mosley.infact all of mosley defeats have came from guys with great left jabs.

    cotto used one
    forrest 2
    winky 2

oscar should have won the rematch.

Stanley Christodoulou and Anek Hongtongkam gave the last five rounds to Shane and Duane Ford the last four and I could see why... Shane started backing Hoya with more telling blows from the fourth round on and walking right into him ( the round Oscar was cut and which was said to have troubled him)... Shane was landing massive body shots, solid left hooks and rights on Hoya by then ( rounds 8 to 12) and you can only be biased or blind to give these rounds to Hoya ( even the 10th when Hoya landed 19 of 50 and Mosley 11 of 39)... Therefore and in short, Mosley had only to win two more rounds to get those 115-113 scores and I think he won the fifth ( Mosley 10 of 22, Hoya 10 of 35) because, again, he backed Hoya with harder shots and I definitely give the first round to Shane with that left hook that had Hoya's senses almost separated from him... Hoya's case is not based on ring generalship cause he fought right in front of him and going back a step from round 4 on, his defense was not definitely great and he was not aggressive... In what concerns to effectiveness and clean punching, you have cases like rounds 2 ( Thru 2 Hoya 33 of 110, Mosley 13 of 72), the jab factor ( jabs thru 3 - Hoya 33 of 96, Mosley 5 of 81, thru 4 - Hoya 59 jabs, Mosley 11 jabs ( in 2000 Hoya 34, Mosley 36)), and you have the punch output ( thru 7 Hoya 133 landed, Mosley 58 landed ( in 2000, Hoya 159, Mosley 124), thru 11 Hoya 200 landed, Mosley 114 ( in 2000, Hoya 239, Mosley 239))... In the end, Hoya did score many punches 221 of 616 ( Mosley 127 of 496) and many of those were jabs - Hoya 106 of 296 (36%), Shane 33 of 268 (12%)... They threw about the same number of powerpunches 328 - 320 and Hoya landed slightly more 115 to 94... Basically, there's a reason all judges and 4 out of 5 elements of the press scored for Mosley ( told Jim Lampley at the time) and that was what Shane expressed as " feeling OVERWHELMINGLY stronger "... I leave the Chavez-Whitaker comments aside and for the moment and since you are only going to laugh about them. Cheers.
