yanks still crying about a fight how many years ago. benn was a beast and gman was overrated. another lacy. coming over here saying he was going to kill benn and look what happen!
there is a joke going around if you didn't know, that Americans find it difficult to count to ten. go and watch the fight to see how long it took Benn to get up off the canvas. it's well before the count of ten. so many stupid people it's shocking.
the ref didn't keep getting in the way, this is all in your fantasy. why are so many posters detached from the truth even though it's right there for them to watch any time they wish?? madness.
it was a torrid first round for Benn, yes. but he came back like he has done before. toughness is the word i'd use. not lucky.
go and count yourself at how long Benn was down for. he clearly beat the count. it has nothing to do with the ref being "lenient". he didn't need to be. he never gave Benn any more time than the rules allow.
no, the fight shouldn't have been over in the first. if that's the case, how in the hell did G man lose to a guy that was hanging by a Thread? you don't get beat down by someone who is finished. :deal
i'd say the weight making plays a big part in it. was it the only reason? who knows in these situations. but i've read that the brain is more vulnerable if you crash with your weight.
 you need a history lesson. quick. go back to the start and put all the times the Brits and Yanks have fought in one big pile. then see who beat who more times than the other. it will wipe the smile from your face. big time. :yep
Oh yeah dude I def think he beat the count, to me he was up before he ducked under the ropes. I'm just playing devil's advocate for those who cry foul. If it had been me I would have stood up on the apron and said to the Ref, "I'm up, can I get back into the ring now?" just to make sure the Ref stopped counting before I ducked down under the ropes so the Ref had no excuse to count me out. So far this is the only Benn match I've seen but already I'm a fan. I guess I'm partial to hard punchers with speech impediments. Also he shows his vulnerability when he thanks Paul McKenna for hypnotizing him to 'believe in myself'. Plus 'The Dark Destroyer" is pretty damn cool nick name.
