You've named 1 freak of nature in Hopkins (being able to jump from MW to LHW and beat the best there) and 2 guys who were boiled down SMWs/LHWs in Taylor and Pavlik, neither of whom did any good after they could no longer make MW and had to move up.

You guy's are all going by height though, Hagler although only 5'9 was a heavier on average and had more bulk than likes of Geale, Martinez who usually are described as small middleweights, Hagler could of been a SMW with ease if it was possible back then. By using the same logic though, Dempsey is 6'1 but I wouldn't say he's the bigger man against the likes of Tyson or Tua or outweighed him by a significant margin but were around 5'9.

Geales skills are easily above ggg. His angles, legwork, body movement and general ring smarts are all above GGG.
Geale is also faster with a better defence.

GGG is robotic and slow by comparison.
