Yes you gotta be realistic,I mean how many fights has he had,he so many flaws but he seems to have a good head on him which has taken him so far
Yeah probably, because in all likelihood you were violating the word filter, I didn't violate the word filter did I? The offensive words are blocked, and I didn't try to get around the block, and Damn isn't a blocked word. If it were up to me there wouldn't be a word filter at all, it would be a free for all, but its not, I'm just enforcing the rules, because that's what mods do.
The fight was stopped prematurely,Takam hadn't been knocked down it was a bad stoppage. What if the ref had stopped the first PAC-JMM fight in round 1 after the 3 KD's? We would have missed out on one of boxings greatest rivalries. This is boxing not a knitting class Takam's corner would have pulled him out if he was in danger. BS stoppage.
Moorer was a stupid fighter really dumb and could of won the fight if he would of just used his legs a turned George and keeps boxing him making him miss, but like I said hes a dumb boxer. Big George hit like a Mac Truck, Takam wasn't even bothering Joshua with his punches, Takam was about to quit in their fight a couple of times but gutted it out. Takam would of got hurt bad if they would of let the fight go on, it's not like Joshua was fighting Mike Tyson, or Takam was this ex Champion beast killer with one punch knockout punching power in him, so the stoppage was good. That's my opinion, nothing I saw in the fight that Takam was doing made me question the stoppage when Takam himself wanted to quit in the fight by talking to the Ref, his corner must of talked him out of quitting that round and other rounds in the fight.
Fair enough just using it as an example. A 45yr old Foreman did it maybe Takam could have, unlikely? sure....but nothing can be discounted in a HW fight. What if the ref waved off Tyson-Douglas when Tyson cracked him with a monster uppercut in round 8 IIRC and he got up at the 9 count? That's my point. This content is protected
Come on now, Joshua put up a good performance against Takam who is one of the better fighters in the division. People's expectations are that if Joshua doesn't turn his opponent into a charred chunk of meat in boxing boots in four rounds or less he sucks, which simply is not true. I'll dare say that at this point in their relative careers Joshua is technically better than Lennox Lewis. It took Lewis a long time to develop a decent left hook and uppercut while Joshua already has a good left hook and uppercut. I don't think that Joshua's reign will last as long as Lewis' reign or Klitschko's reign if the best possible fights are made, not so much because Lewis and Klitschkos were so much better but there seems to be more technically sound opponents who are close to his size and some very formidable cruiserweights who could step up quite well.
Buster Douglas was actually wining the fight and the count actually went past 10, but the guy with the wight glove his count was wrong anyway, actually the Ref's count was right, Buster got up at the count of 9 and so did Tyson when he got Knocked down, but Tyson was hurt bad and still wobbling. This content is protected My point is Buster Douglas was giving Mike hell and beating Mike, Buster got Knocked down but his legs and eyes were clear after he gets up, but Mikes eyes and legs were not good he was hurt bad. So it was a good stoppage in the Tyson vs Douglas fight and Buster Douglas was OK after his knockdown. But Takam was just trying to survive and was getting busted up and wasn't doing any damage to Joshua at all except when he butted him on purpose, so it's different circumstances in the fights altogether. Big George was a ex champion and people wanted to see him win so they gave him a chance and he wasn't hurt by Moorer and had that punchers chance against Moorer with his power. This content is protected Takam wasn't known for Tyson like power, if Takam was wobbling Joshua like crazy and holding his own in the fight like Buster was doing with Mike, then it's a different discussion we would be having right now. Nobody new who Takam was and the Ref didn't want to see him get hurt in the fight because of this. This content is protected This content is protected If they would of stopped the Tyson vs Buster Douglas fight when Douglas got Knocked down, then that would of been wrong. But them stopping the Takam vs Joshua fight I have no problem with it, just order a rematch so Takam can have a full training camp and then let's see how the fight goes down, that's only fair. But there's no need for him to get hurt the first time around, when he wanted out in the fight anyway and he wasn't even ready for Joshua in the first place. The fare thing to do is have a rematch because Joshua isn't looking to get in the ring with Wilder anytime soon anyway. But don't look for him to lose or get tested until he faces Wilder anyway, there's nobody right now that is gonna test either fighter anyway unless someone gets luky and that's no going to happen and Tyson Fury is not ready it would take him 2 years to get back on that Level of boxing ability anyway and he has to stay clean. So we just have to wait for the Joshua vs Wilder fights when they have 3 of them, because they will have 3 fights, each fighting in their own country and one on a natural site, but this wont start till 2018 .
Yeah the fight was stopped a little early but who knows what would have happened had the ref let it continue. If the PAC fight had been stopped it wouldn't have been any different to the many other times fights have been stopped after 3 kd's in a round, plus there's a difference between 1 round of punches off Pac and 10 rounds of punches off AJ. You can't really talk about what ifs unless you include what if Takam had gotten killed. Yes this is boxing and the fact is a part of professional boxing is the officials looking out for the fighters' safety.
I think the TS is just venting because this fight was the straw that broke the camels back for him after Ward-Kovalev 2.
