I wish Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant and George Foreman were still commentating

I liked Tom Brookshire, Pat Summerall, and Jerry Quarry of The CBS Sports Spectacular, 1970's.

Keith Jackson's boxing commentating skills are very overlooked. And he usually did it solo. He was a great.

I'm sure your local pharmacy sells an ointment for this.

He did the telecast of Valdes vs Briscoe II in 1974, ABC'S Wide World Of Sports.

I was never a fan of Leonard as a commentator. The guy is mediocre as Hell as an analyst. Being that he's frickin Ray Leonard, you would HOPE for more insight, but he never really provided that.

And then George... was mainly just comic relief. But Foreman actually did provide a lot more insight than Leonard, which highlights just how mediocre Leonard was at commentating.

But then Roy forever changed the way fighters call fights. Roy was the FIRST fighter analyst to provide TRUE, detailed breakdowns and insights of a fight. Leonard and Foreman never did that.

Roy paved the way for the Ward's, and Paulie's.

Don't know how popular this is gonna be but John Tessitore and John Scully will forever be my go to team. Watching the Holyfield-Bowe I round 10 with their commentary never fails to give me chills even to this day!
