I wish Mayweather and Pac would retire so this could be a better site again.

That's what you get with elite and popular fighters.
Suck it up you sissies. Ignore them if you must.

While were at it, I say disband the LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics and let Kobe and Lebron retire so only hardcore basketball fans will discuss the sport without the trashtalking.

Same with tennis. I'm sick of Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal being the talk. I say ban both of them.

Let's make this easy and let all the superstars of all sports disappear so only hardcore fans of any sport enjoy mediocre to above average athletes.

The world will be a happier place. :good

Floyd is doing a great job of making himself obsolete in these forums.
(Unless a fantasy section opens up?)

It would be fine if Floyd decided to hit Pac instead of small women...

I really think a pacquiao-mayweather subforum would improve the general massively. keep a lot of idiots out of the picture.

Before Pac and Floyd it was Klitschko and Lewis. This stuff goes in circles.

:huh Obsolete? Find a different adjective. He is still the most talked about person on this forum and will be for years.

    True.

But THAT was fun - not that I was actually involved.

i don't want them to retire (yet), but I do want to them to fight no later than next year. Both are on the wrong side of 30.

Different situation. What you mentioned are great rivalries in which these opponents face each other and can settle scores. The Pacman/PBF situation is one where the fans just want the fight to happen.

Being a Floyd fan since he was in Golden Gloves, it is very disappointing to see Floyd's relationship with the sport. Yeah he's the best boxer out there but it's so much easier to be a fan of just about any other fighter. This I really dunno if it's sad or not but to see the direction this cat has gone with his life is truly disturbing. This dude is really smarter than he's acting or he wouldn't have gotten this far. I met Roger years ago when he was fighting JCC at the Fabulous Forum in L.A. He reminded me so much of Floyd now. Roger was a young, sharp articulate cat who I used to see hangin with guys from Freddie Hubbard and Dizzy Gillespie to Clarence Williams III or Larry Fishburne. It really hurts me sometimes to see Roger in his present physical and mental condition. I'm praying that we're not looking at Floyd Jr. when he's 50. This would be a real American Ghetto Fairytale like tragedy. Here's a few guys Floyd could easily beat if he fought them right now and could also earn some respect with. Beause right now, among many boxing fans, he has little or no respect ( and rightfully so). James Kirkland- No world class skill aside from his punching power. Lousy footwork and no ring savvy. He can easily be beaten by Mayweather ring savvy and handspeed. You might not even need your power shots Floydie. Just don't get caught by his. Sergio Martinez- Sergios's good movement and footwork could keep PBF real busy for about 10 rounds but than the obvious atheleticism would surface from Floydie to overcome Serges barrages of punches. By the way Floyd would be the better athelete while not getting hit the face. Erik Morales would bring real excitement to the sport based on the fact that he can be very effective at 147lbs and everybody and their daddy would buy that fight and I would root for Morales ALL NIGHT LONG! erik would love that fight and would be so much more competitive than anyone would ever dream. This would be Floyds closest fight since JLC.I think? Possibly? PBF should also fight either Paul williams or Kelly Pavlik at 154lbs. Not both. Bradley, Alexander and Khan don't interest me at all as a PBF fan. It just leads us back to PAC.
