The fact that it is on SHO is a big factor on why the ppv's are not as high as expected, and will also be a reason this will not break records.

Every time I look at SHO's schedule, I marvel at how lousy the programming is. Besides boxing, I basically "tune out" SHO. All kinds of movies and shyte I never heard of. Can rarely sit through any of their shyte. I suspect I'm not the only one.

I enjoy good fights on any network... but I gotta say this mma yell-talker at Showtime really kills it for me. I can't stand the sound of this moron. I'll take a blatently biased Jim Lampley over that noise anytime. At least Paulie is pretty good though.

Not to mention... It just dosent feel like a huge fight to me without Buffer's "let's get ready to rumblllllllllllllllle!!!"

Sorry Jimmy, but "iiiiiiiits showtiiiime" just ain't the same. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

HBO's commentating is so horrendous, so bad that I'd pay an additional $5 dollars if they gave me the option to just watch it with no commentating, hell, I'll take the Red-Eye guy over HBO's cheerleaders.

Really? You guys are such pre-madonna's. I couldn't give a rat's ass, but Showtime has a better price; I like Showtime. At the end of the day, I couldn't care less about 24/7 and all that ****. It's a good addition, but once fight-night starts, I don't give a rat's ass what the **** talking consisted of or how classy HBO made the last 24/7 episode. I'm glad Canelo/Mayweather is on Showtime so I can watch it on replay.

I'm going to cringe if they keep using those cheap replay angles.

Aside from Paulie, everybody else is ****ing Boring. Bernstein does not communicate the drama at all. Lampley would have been screaming his lungs off during Judah-Garcia. People over-exaggerate his inaccuracy, and even so, that's what Roy and Kellerman are there for.

Holy ****, imagine Pacquiao-Mayweather on Showtime? God.

    I don't give a ****. I just want to see the fights.

As for the commentary, I've had more than enough of HBO's bias and cheerleading over the years. I used to really like Jim Lampley when I was a kid. Now, I can't stand the sound of his voice.

Besides, I'm more likely to mute the commentary when I'm watching a big fight these days no matter who's doing the calls.

No they don't. When he's emotionally attached to a fighter, he's going to yell and scream every time that his guy throws punches irrespective of whether they land or not. It's ****ing ridiculous.

I find Mauro kind of annoying, but I'll take Bernstein and Paulie over Lampley and Kellerman any day. Meanwhile, Merchant's bitter ass should have stayed retired.
