I wish there was a Brandon Rios in every division

He's fun but not overly talented or skilled. I definitely prefer the more scientific approach to boxing.

 

There IS a Brandon Rios in every division. They've all reached their potential, got beaten up by superior fighters, and become journeyman gatekeepers.

 

Definitely slurring already. Hes one of my five favorite fighters right now too. Fun as hell

 

If he was GB he would be dead last at 140, Matthysse would knock him out in 1, Khan would out box the **** out of him, he would look like a fool against Broner, Garcia would drop him in 3, Peterson would brutalize him, he is a basic walk forward fighter who is protected by Arum.

 

Nonsense.

• Matthysse - would be an excellent fight.
• Khan - he'd stop Khan. Bam Bam is a nightmare style for him.
• Broner - like I said, would give him hell. Broner has never faced anyone as big or as strong as him. For once in his life, he'll be at a size disadvantage.
• Garcia - again, good fight. Bam Bam isn't china-chinned or shot where he'll get put out by Garcia just like that.
• PEDerson - brutalise? The **** you think Brandon is? A softy who can't handle pressure? PEDerson would give him the fight he wants.

So, in order of difficulty, it'll be the following

1. Matthysse
2. PEDerson
3. Garcia
4. Broner
5. Khan

Rios is up there with all of them. No way is he a lesser fighter than them. He has a 50-50 shot or more against them.

As I've already said, if he was GBP fighter, everyone that's hating on him now would be all over his nuts.

 

To me the net is pro TR besides this site, I would argue if you go to even those sites they wouldn't value him as more than an action fighter, you don't let Matthysse get a clean shot on you but Matthysse could take his best shot, I really would take even this broken Khan over Rios I think you might overestimate his power. There is a reason he didn't want none of Bradley, I think even he knows what he is. This is what I hate about boxing, there are 9 good fights I can think about for Rios in GB but they will never happen so we will never know who is right.
