    Benitez indeed clearly won, but it was closer than some people's recollections--kinda like Leonard v. Duran II (up till Duran quit).

    My first $500 bet on a fight was Holmes-Cooney. I did good, I simply couldn't see it going the other way.
    My second and only other $500 bet was Benitez-Duran but I'd like to talk to the brain-dead judge who scored it 143-142 Benitez. Was he toking on some 'Panama Red'? :D

    I typically dont reply to this jumble mouthed morons posts but his idea that the fight was close with Duran winning pretty much illustrates beyond doubt that he neither knows how to talk/spell or score a fight. Benitez won a competetive fight but won it clearly and won it wide. He took away Duran's right hand and after that he made Duran look bad.

    Hey mushmouth, ebonics is dead, get with the program!

    I was the biggest Duran fan but I clearly saw him Lose this fight. Benitez as typical fought off the ropes allot but also as typical still out punched Duran.

    Hey Lord Tywin! No, I am 60 years old and watched the old ones on the Gillette fights with dad and uncles. When you reach my 'wreched' age, I tend to forget the time frame. I had, until you enlightened me (thank you for correcting me :roll:) thought that fight was after the HW scrap. But...I still bet $500 on both fights and won, tho Holmes and Wilfred both got me back less than even money because both were favorites with the bookies.
