Not the best choice but the guy is 36 and needs the best money fights. However I think he can make some money from the Groves rematch too

It kills me to see the complete disrespect and insults given towards Froch, but at the end of the day he's bringing them on himself.

Groves beat Froch, but Froch's referee won the fight for him. UK has had two bad stopages in the last 2 weeks!

If Froch goes on to fight Chavez Jr instead of a Groves rematch, it's a clear payday move, he'll take flak for it, and deservedly so. If he fights Ward, Kovalev, or Stevenson however, we're talking one guy he's already lost convincingly to(and P4P #2) and two murderous champion punchers at a higher weight class. Don't think he should take much heat for that.

Froch has fought everybody in the division, he's always chased the biggest fights and has fought away from home countless times, yet according to ESB logic he's a ducker and a coward ? :patsch
The result was Froch TKO 9, Those with any sort of idea about the game knew that Groves would outbox Froch, and would most likely win the earlier rounds. I said that Groves would be leading on the scorecards before being TKO'd in the 8th, i also said that Groves would have the power to get Frochs attention (although i didn't think he'd floor him).
The ref robbed Froch of a clear stoppage win, and did Groves a favour by allowing him to argue the case for a rematch (leading on the scorecards and poor/premature stoppage) but at the end of the day its all about money, and Froch is 36 years old and clearly on the slide.
A Groves rematch would be a better fight than the first imo, Froch wouldn't underestimate him this time and walk straight into a big right hand, he'd be more cautious, but he'd still have to press Groves in order to slow him down. Grove on the other hand would have to pace himself better and not be drawn into a brawl.
Those predicting an easy stoppage win for Groves in a rematch are showing how little they know about boxing, Groves would be better trying to maintain distance and outboxing Froch for the duration, if he stands and trade he's playing into Frochs hands again, and Froch would grind him down and stop him imo.
I'd love to see a rematch, but i'd also respect Frochs decision if he decides to take an easier fight for a bigger pay cheque.

Looks like Groves ****ed up Froch mentally as well as physically, Froch seems to have a genuine fear of Groves.

You clown just posted saying Ortiz was stopped according to boxing rules, now you claim Groves wasn't?

Protect yourself at all times. Don't stand in front of your opponent with your hands down, letting your opponent rain down punches on you, then stumble around like a drunkard. If you do, don't be surprised if the ref takes you out of the fight.

The ref didn't have to stop this but he had every discretionary right to do so. From what I know, Groves team didn't even try to appeal the stoppage, because they know they'd stand no chance. He was not protecting himself and that's the end of it.

Froch will retire. He's shot after that fight and he knows it. All this talk of other fights is just him trying to side track what his real objective is, retiring.

How is he shot? Everybody knew Froch isn't a skilled boxer, some people were speculating Groves would outbox him in the first half of the fight. Exactly what happened and now he's shot?

He just stopped Groves in a TKO victory in a close fight. Froch started horribly and then started to overwhelm a gassed out inexperienced challenger. Not shot at all.
