I mean if somehow after the tournament he still has his belt...Dirrell HAS got a valid argument - the fight was a close one to call. At least as close as many other fights that have gotten a rematch because the fans saw a controversial decision. Maybe though Dirrell wont want it if after the tournament Froch is beltless.

There should be a rematch in the same way as JC gave Hopkins one, its only fair

I'd really like to see how things play out over the next year before we start talking about a rematch. If one thing's for sure, there's no way that Froch leaves this tournament with his belt.

I think they can if they face each other in the finals assuming both keep winning in the tournament without a lost?

Even if Froch escaped the tournament with a belt I can't see a rematch happening. Froch was complaining after the fight about Dirrell's style (suggesting that Dirrell wasn't interested in fighting). Regardless of whether Froch was confident of victory or not I don't think he'd want the re-match and there wouldn't be enough money in it to make it worthwhile from that perspective. Let's face it would you want to see that again? :-(

    Wow :huh

If the match was made I'd have to see it but can't believe it's on many people's wish list for 2010?

Wasn't exactly that great a fight the first time.

I'd say one of the two of them could fall into obscurity after this tournament. If neither of them has any buzz around them then nobody will want this rematch.

Wait i don't get it. They can't fight in the finals if both keep winning the fight without a lost? Dirrell only lost to a split decision in which it doesn't hurt his chances to still win the tournament.

They still can meet in the SF (50-50) if they qualify, or if they drop out of the tourney at any stage, they can still do a rematch in an eliminator. The thing is: even the fighters who drop out after 3 rounds or 4 (SF) will most likely return on Showtime due to their growing popularity in Super Six, and if Showtime want to do the right thing, they'll put 'bonus matchups' to the final undercard.

Why not the Froch-Dirrell rematch be one?

There's still a possibility they'll meet later on in the single elimination part of the tournament. If that happens they'll settle this **** then once and for all.
