It amazes me that some of you have the nerve to call a hater to anybody who makes a comment about the fight if that comment does not fit your agenda.

Either some of you are too naive or too stupid to not see it, but the only way that Pac can defeat Hoya (and this apply to any boxer who is in the 135 division) is by fighting a faded version of who once was a great boxer.

None of the boxers at the present at 135 lbs (would have defeated) could defeat a prime version of Hoya (circa 2000, the one that fought Trinidad or Mosley), even Pac's trainer (Roach) knows it.

Below is a link to a thread that a hardcore Pac fan started awhile ago. Read the article and you'll see what I mean....

I am not saying or admiting with this that Hoya is shot, there is no way for me to know because I have never been at his training camp, but If I take into consideration what I have seen in the ring in his last three fights I can say that he is no prime anymore.... the big question is how much has he faded for Pac to beat him? is this the right time for Pac? Roach think is the right time..... I guess he is a hater because he thinks that Hoya is old and on his way out like Chavez was when He fought Hoya.

If Pac wins he retires Oscar and secures his p4p status ..If Oscar wins expect a fight between he and JMM ..

I wouldn't be surprised at all..... seems to be that Oscar is going to fight only 135 pounders.

Don't make it complicated. Apparantly you are not a pac fan so you are not aware who are the real hard core (?!) pac haters. No worries I don't consider those who does not side with pac as automatic pac haters. :thumbsup

In the first place if dlh is in his prime he fights at two or three weight classes above pac so it would not happen.

I am a boxing fan, I have stated that many times.... I don't cheer for one particular boxer only, I like many boxers but I am not blind unlike some fanatics....

I am ware of some posters that you and others call "haters", some of them might fit the bill but others don't, however some of you are still calling them haters.... while myself think that their point of view is valid and true....

I am not worried at all about someone calling me hater...... usually a person who calls hater to someone else is because he is a blind hugger himself, so what else can I expect from him?......

And no, I don't make things complicated.... some of you do..... I am just trying to clarify a point....

Finally, I agree with you, if Hoya was prime this fight would have never happend.

I suggest you start reading first other posts on other threads before calling anybody stupid and naive. If you did you surely wouldn't make this post.

First of all. NOBODY is disputing that Oscar is not prime anymore. NOBODY. Ofcourse he's not prime. But the problem is some people are translating "not prime" to "shot". They think that because Hoya is "shot", that Pac shouldn't be given much credit if he wins. COMPLETELY ignoring the fact about DLH's advantages in size, reach and power.

They think his shot, YET not too long ago everybody here wanted a Cotto-DLH fight, and, after Margo beat Cotto, everybody were demanding a Margo-DLH fight. Even bashing DLH for not giving Margo the fight. But now, now that DLH has chosen Pac as his next opponent, DLH is suddenly "shot"? How fair is that?

I don't think your a hater Thinman, but I notice that you always get on Pac's case(logically) instead of the other way around. I can dig that, but atleast for once try looking at our own perspective on this. Alot of us Pacfans here are not totally biased for Pac, we know his limitations(I for one think he'll lose against DLH AND Hatton). But the Pac bashing here has pretty much gotten out-of-hand, that we're just not gonna sit back and watch this people **** on Pac.

Fisrt of all, I shouldn't have said the word "stupid"..... I apologize for that... now let me explain what I really meant and at the same time expand or clarify some points.

1- Posters from both sides have stated/said things that are totally out of context. Two wrongs....... won't make (one) it right.

2- Eventhough I hate to admit it, Roach is right.... the only way Pac can defeat Hoya is if Oscar is..... shot??? totally faded??? on his way out??? old??? etc, etc, etc, I think you understand what I mean????

3- I can't believe that none of you have mentioned how bad is for Pac the comments that Roach has made..... you guys feel offended when someone says something (that
    This content is protected
think is negative) about Pac, but at the same time
    This content is protected
when his trainer says bad things about him????

4- Roach is a ****ing idiot, if
    This content is protected
..... he was the first one to say that Hoya is pretty much "shot"...... which means (he was) he is the first one that won't give credit to Pac if he defeats Hoya, because according to him Hoya is shot

5- When I read the article the very first time I coudn't believe that Roach said that..... but after reading many other "of his comments".... I have to think that he is getting out of his mind.....

6- That's why I said (in part) that some of you are "too naive or too stupid".... He's right.... He didn't say it.... but he meant that Hoya is "Shot".

7- I brought up the article so you guys can read it again.... but I think, for some of you if doesn't matter...... Roach is his trainer and whatever he says is ok.... he can speak out and say anything, as long as he says that Pac will win, then that would be enough for some of you..... and that would translate as if Roach is the best guy or friend that Pac ever had, eventhough he is putting Pac down.

8- Can I say (repeat) the same thing that Roach said so you and other Pac fans will like me and say good things about me?????

Ps. We have talked/discussed about other boxers before... if memory serves I think we had a debate about Nate Campbell, and as far as I remember it was a respectful debate..... right???? I do talk about other boxers from time to time but probably you have never seen me......

    Thinman,

I expect Roach to say some trash talk like what he normally does before the fight. He carries the load on behalf of his boxer which is currently PAC.

Wether we like it or not it's part of the hype that makes things interesting. Like saying... DLH can't pull the trigger anymore! C'mon man! Do you really believe this stuff?!

Like I said don't take EVERYTHING literally and seriously ok?! It happens to both camps. DLH saying he's currently 145lbs?! :patsch

Whatever will be said in the next few weeks will intensify. Believe me.
It's all part of the hype, the psy-war etc...all rolled into one.

So lets just enjoy the fight and may the best man win! :thumbsup

Thinman mentioned Freddie Roach, and I cant help but think that this matchup between DLH and Pac is really brought about because of Roach's ill feeling toward DLH.

Like many other trainers before Roach, he felt the wrath of DLH....as publicly as in many other of his losses, DLH always insinuates that it was'nt his fault......and then goes foward and fires his trainer, without so much as even calling him up and telling them personally.

Roach felt disrespected by DLH, and I believe that it is that what mainly drove Roach to convince Pac that he could beat DLH.
Its a personal issue that Roach has with DLH, and it could very well end with his star pupil being the one that pays and gets KTFO for it!

I guess you are right?! It could be.... his pupil pays and gets KTFO. Or it could also be some sort of sweet revenge for Roach if his pupil wins... Only time will tell.. Dec 6!

No question it would be sweet revenge for Roach.....the only thing about it is that he's playing with somebody else's livelyhood and legacy, trying to beat DLH.
It's Roach's fight, and he's using Pac as a tool. Roach must have done some heavy convinving with Pac's psyche, to make him think he can beat DLH.....if that does'nt happen, and Pac ends up getting embarrassed, there could very well be alot of fingerpointing within Pac's camp, and ultimately a falling off with Freddie Roach.......which in turn is bad news for Pac, as Roach has worked wonderfully with him.
They've really worked great as a team to this point.....we'll have to stay tune to see what happens and if Pac loses, what comes out of Freddie Roach's mouth after making it public of how sure is of a Pac victory.

I was once upon a time thinking the way you were thinking... but after reading so many things, boxing stuff.. somehow it deminished. But I agree with what you are saying...

If that's the agenda from the start. I said if.. THEN shame on Roach. Too bad only Roach knows the real score.

It could be that he just brainwashed pac to believe he can beat dlh to possibly even the score or for the sake of arguement, he truly believes that his pupil can beat dlh (if the weight and reward is right?! ) then he pushed his pupil to fight with a clear conscience...

Good thing is that wether Roach has clear consience or not is that his student (PAC) believes in himself. A large factor during a fight not only being physically ready but also psychologically ready.

Seems PAC is doing fine in his dialy training....

Well so much for the if's and could have's....

Lets just enjoy the fight this dec while it lasts...........
