I see...(whatever the outcome is)

1. Hoya is shot and old...
2. If only Pacquiao fought "Fighter A" it would be more of a match rather than DLH.
3. He got lucky!
4. A gift!
5. Its a circus match anyway...
6. So what? he beat a past prime/old DLH, they only took it because of the cash and cause he is not himself anymore.
7. Mayweather already proved DLH cannot fight anymore.
8. He can't pull the trigger, duh?
9. Hoya let him win, so he could pass the torch.
10. **** Pacquiao, "Fighter A/B/C/D/E/F/G/etc..." could do it also and beat Pacquiao also.

 

I am just curious if you ever gave PACMAN the credit for any of his WINS. Did you ever do that? Let's say starting from the first fight with BARRERA. If you did then I guess you're not bias, else, you need a reality check! :hat

When Barrera fought Hamed I cheered for Barrera, but when he fought Pac I cheered for Pac. When Pac fought Morales I cheered for Morales and If Morales had fought Marquez I would have cheered for Marquez, unfortunately the fight never happend.

When Oscar fought Trinidad I cheered for Trinidad but when Tito fought Bernard I cheered for Bernard, however when Nard fought Winky I cheered for Winky.

When Duran fought Leonard I cheered for Leonard, but when Leonard fought Hearns I cheered for Hearns.... when Leonard fought Hagler I cheered for Leonard..... I never liked Hagler, my favourite middleweight was Monzon.

Regarding giving credit to boxers for a win I always give credit to them, and that includes Pac... a win is a win, however the credit I give is according to the contender's resume and the point in time that the victory is accomplished.

Let me give you an example.... the fight between PBF and Baldomir... I give credit to PBF for defeating Carlos but I would have given him more credit if he had fought and defeated Cotto or Margarito. Some PBF fans claim that he defeated the Linear Champ in Carlos and therefore he deserves more merit than defeating for example Margarito.... my opinion is that eventhough Baldomir was the Linear champ he is also one of the weakest welter champs ever.

I give more credit to Pac for defeating Barrera the first time than the second time.... why? because Barrera was pretty much on his way out.

I give credit to Marquez for defeating Barrera, but not as much as if he had defeated Barrera when Pac defeat him. The version of Barrera that Pac defeated the firs time was a better version than the one that Marquez defeated.

I just want to add that I haven't put Pac down at all in this thread, so don't misunderstand me....

In other words I am giving you guys an advice, I hope you guys don't make a fool of yourselves by criticizing what others are pointing out which is pretty much the same that Pac's trainer has already said. It doesn't matter if Roach said that to hype the fight as Sylvermags pointed out..... in my opinion it is a stupid comment that a trainer should never say... and I mean any trainer.

 

Everybody knows the only way Pacquiao wins this fight is if Oscar gets old in one night, you dont go from a close SD loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr and then lose to a guy like Pacquiao in your next fight if your not shot.

Why would you expect me to have a comment about how Roach thinks of DLH? First of all, lets get things straight. Roach thinks Pac can beat DLH, I don't. Roach thought that B-Hop was too old to beat Pavlik, I didn't. Now, Roach thinks that DLH is too old, and guess what? I don't agree with him about that as well.

I respect Roach as a trainer, but the things he says on the camera, ESPECIALLY before fights, are sometimes mind-boggling. You, me and every boxing fan knows that. divac pretty much gave a very good example of why Roach underrates DLH so much. Also, every trainer hypes up his fighter and downgrades the opponent. That has always been the boxing way.

And you know why I don't pick on Roach's comments every single time? Simple. Because even though I don't agree with every single thing he says, ATLEAST he respects Pac and what he has done. He's not like some of the people here in ESB, who always say that Pac only fought bums and SHOT fighters. He never said any of those nonsense.

Know that I STRONGLY disagree with what he said about DLH being too old, but this is just to show you how I view Roach(and some of the reasonable non-Pacfans here in ESB) differently than those people who'se mission in life is to continually put Pac down and **** on him.

Concerning DLH. Of the last three fights that he had, one was KO'd brutally by him, the other(who was the P4P #1 IN HIS PRIME and an ATG) only managed to scrape an SD over him, and the latest one was a wide UD in favor of DLH. The thing is, too much emphasis is put on Forbes' plastering of DLH's face, using that as a basis that DLH is shot and ripe for the taking for Pac. That IMO is a naive way of thinking and is a wrong way of analyzing fights because at the end of the day, DLH beat a fast, slick and iron-chinned Forbes by a pretty WIDE UD. And that part of the fight is pretty much forgotten by the people around here.

Fair enough. I think that even if what he said is "part of the plan", I still think it was a bad comment.... there are better ways to hype a fight.

I don't really expect you or any other poster to say something every time Roach open his mouth..... not at all..... but I think is not smart to criticize people (call them hater) who say the same things that Roach said..... If it doesn't hurt when Roach says it and nobody complains about it, then why complain when somebody else does it? Is it because the person who says it isn't a Pac fan?

Regarding Forbes, I think some fans made the mistake to comment on what he did to Oscar.... I remember reading some comments where some posters say "If Forbes did that to Oscar imagine what Pac can do"?

Any way, lets leave it at that..... I think Roach made a mistake but now is too late....
