That's a great shout.

 

He's higher ranked for sure, but he's a bit hard to evaluate with a close win over Zhang being his only win of significance. Would Wallin been able to replicate that win, for example? Quite likely, I'd say.

Hrgovic looks like a quite complete fighter, though, and it is the fight to make for Joshua while Usyk-Fury and Parker-Zhang are tied up in fights with each other. But of course, if Joshua wins easily again the same ones who accuse Joshua of ducking Hrgovic now will say that Hrgovic had a paper thin resume and was nothing special anyway. The same old story.

 

Completely agreed, Hrgovic is pretty unproven and struggled badly in his one big fight. He has hardly looked spectacular although I’m confident in saying he’s a durable and tough fighter based on the Zhang fight. Still he has done nothing to warrant the hype some have given him (mainly the same lot who have agendas against certain fighters). It’s sad that people are literally incapable of giving a fighter credit.

 

So Hrgovic comes back May 18th? Hope we see him against Kabayel or Dubois, at least.
