Thats not the same thing. A 140lb fighter could just fight at 140lbs in the 147 division, he doesn't HAVE to gain or lose any weight to fit in a division but theres no classification for a 195lb fighter, the list has cruiser as under 190 and HW as over 200 so he HAS to gain or lose weight.
Won't happen. More chance we'll get Light Cruiserweight and Super Heavyweight divisions. Really shouldn't matter if there's 17, 18, 19 divisions. We're long past the original eight, so it will have no historical implications. Having one universally recognised champ per division is what needs to happen. With the re-emergence of the Ring belt and the sanctioning bodies dropping their titles to a level now that they're worthless, there is hope it's not that far off. The Ring need to declare a champ for every division though
it matters if there's too many divisions, cuz you get watered down talent in each just like w all the abc belts
The most important thing of all in boxing is that their needs to be a Heavyweight and SuperHeavyweight division. :deal
Wouldn't mind lesser divisions however it would inevitably, to my dismay, open up the flood gates for more catch weight fights.
