Given Froch's choice of opposition recently, I have no doubt that he would challenge Dirrell to answer these questions. Froch has improved his ability to cut off the ring substantially. Dirrell has been inactive. When this fight does happen, if it happens, keep those two variables in mind.
Dirrell has done nothing at all to warrant any rating. The guy fought like a ***** in England, **** him.
I highly doubt it. He has no interest in rematching Ward, and I don't think he has any interest in rematching Dirrell. Both of those guys will always fustrate Froch, and make him look bad.
Dirrell is a little ***** and doesn't deserve to share the same ring with Froch again. Ward is a no go too, Froch will never beat him. He should rematch Kessler and win or lose, move up to 175.
What the hell has Dirrell done to even be considered 2nd best SMW in the world? His best win is Abraham and he hasn't fought a top SMW in over two years. And he stinks out the ring.
yeah becuase froch's known for taking easy fights. Dirrel could possibly have won convincingly if he didn't fight like a girl, but he didn't because he waas scared of getting hit, and if he had fought differently there's a good chance that froch would have landed and finished him. that was one of frochs best performances last night, he started quickly and fought off the back foot, if he sticks to that he should be a match for anyone except ward.
*yawn* Top Americans like..? RJJ, Hopkins, Toney? How many times have they fought outside their own country? What about Mayweather; how many times has he? Stop being a wet noodle.
Except for snide remarks I never get an honest, thoughtful answer to this one when I say Froch was lucky to get Dirrell when and where he did. When being early in his career. Where was obviously Nottingham. Dirrell remarked between rounds to his corner that Froch was a dirty fighter. Last night I saw at least one intentional elbow and lots of punches to the back of the head while clinched. A more mature Dirrell on a level playing field takes the measure of Froch. Little doubt in my mind on that. It is why you will never see that fight unless Froch's hand is forced.
I disagree. I don't think Froch has shown a history of ducking fighters. He fought a fighter who was considered one the most dangerous at 168 and was a favorite against Froch. I think Froch has regained a great deal of confidence, and that he will eventually seek a rematch with Ward; however, if he really believes that he beat Dirrell, I don't see him ducking a rematch against Dirrell. I think Froch's patience, and ability to cut off the ring have improved a great deal, and he'll be the one calling the shots when it comes to ring size. Dirrell has been inactive, and Froch just fought a southpaw, this is probably the best time for Froch to make the fight with Dirrell. The question is, will the networks buy it?
