I would love BILLY NELSONS take on the Bakole v Kuzman fight....

I scored it a draw. The disappointing thing imo is that Bakole could have won that fight by a shut out if he’d have stayed behind the jab. He was controlling the distance so well and Kuzmin was having very little success. For whatever reason only he will know, he laid out the red carpet and invited Kuzmin on the inside. Whilst Bakole was having some success on the inside it was clear that Kuzmin was timing his shots better and landing harder.

I scored it a draw but a round either way would have been fair enough imo. He got away with that one did Bakole.

 

Chisora would be suicide for Bakole at this point. I dont think Bakole could live with the pace that Chisora fights at.

I dont see why Majidov is mentioned here, he is another amateur who turned pro far too late and will do **** all as a pro.

 

I had Bakole winning comfortably on points although a disappointing peformance ( the only rounds i gave clearly to Bakole was 4 and 5rounds). As someone else said Bakole feet looked glued to the floor.

Considering the praise Hughie for his peformance against Wach, lets not forget Bakoles peformance against Wach which was much more one sided and impressive.

 

I mentioned him because he's a big puncher who has a contract with Matchroom. I agree with you about him turning pro too late.

 

Bit harsh on Billy what do people expect him to say ? Bakole is average gate keeper who would struggle with the top boys? He is trying to sell his man nothing wrong with that imo.

 

Anyone seen Bakole and Matt Skelton in the same room?

 

Yeah it was poof quality. Neither of these 2 are going anywhere . And Kuzmin was in awful shape - much bigger man bazookas than Andy Ruiz.

 

After the first 3 rounds I thought there is no way this goes to points. Both showed good chins but I didn't see anything made me think they were going anywhere.

Bakole got hit to easily and it was the same when he was in with hunter. Hunter hit him more often which is why he got stopped. Unless he tightens that defence he will come up short.

Wilder would be wise to look at Bakole as a comeback fight. That would be brutal.

 

This is a boxing forum. So I'd expect him to be on the level talking to us on here.
When I disagreed with Billy on here about Bakole he dismissed me saying he knows more about boxing than I do. Fair enough. But I've been proven right about Bakole though.

 

hes decent offensively but defensively lazy, hes going to get chinned again.

 

I can see him being the gym monster they say he is, but as we know, it’s different under the lights with no big gloves or head gear an 10-12 rounds.This is your lot with him imo

 

He took too many shots for my liking. Would like to see him in with Chisora next but I do not see Chisora being interested in Bakole.

Hunter rematch makes most sense. Win this and he can mix it with Chisora etc. Good luck to him

 

I'm presuming Billy doesn't frequent this forum anymore because of the trolls.
Shame as I know he could be abit of a tool sometimes but I used to enjoy reading some of his posts, some were pretty insightful.

 

I like(d) Billy on here but you need to distinguish clearly that there’s troll’s and there’s people who rightly criticise his fighter.

Bakole shouldn’t be exempt from criticism because his trainer is on here. I’d like Billy to come on here and say “it weren’t the best performance but we got the result and we know we need to work on x y and z.”

 

His trainer did bill him as the next coming, he choked in the Hunter fight due to unknown reasons and Saturday was not convincing at all.

He boxed much better in the Hunter fight than Saturday and based on the Hunter fight, he looked to have serious potential until he retired. Hunter looked like going a few times during that fight and is a much better fighter than people think.

A rematch with Hunter will make clear if Bakole can live up to his trainer's billing.
