I would love to hear a justification from Ward on why he uses Victor Conte!!!

Conte is under such watch, the chance of him doing it again is so minimal and the chance of him being caught is extremely high.

That still doesn't discount that Ward, Chambers and Donaire made a bad choice of working with him.

 

They sacked me from my headmasters job when I used a similar justification for employing pedophiles as teaching assistants :-(

 

I want to laugh but pedophile jokes aren't that funny to me.

And if you are serious... Conte has the FBI breathing down his neck.

 

Because Conte is just as knowlegable about the bad stuff as he is about the good stuff(which is a ton), besides Ward has asked for USADA style testing in his upcoming fight and he was tested when he faced Kessler, and Victor Conte probably has so many Feds watching him that he wouldn't try anything at this point.

 

No reason not to ask for a limited period of 'olympic-style testing' (which is not 'olympic style' at all precisely because it's for a set specified period) if you know you can beat it.

 

Chill and educate yourself prior to commenting here. There are multiple articles available via the world wide web that clearly define the nature of the relationship as well as all the whys and hows. I would simple ask any of you to check them out and then comment.

Because ward and many usa fighters use performance enhancements including mayweather.

Victor Conte is known worldwide as "that guy that gave those athletes illegal substances so they could cheat". That will never change.

Any professional athlete/boxer associating themselves with this bloke are absolutely mad, in my opinion.

The world is a big big place, i'm sure these top athletes can find other consultants with just as much knowledge and experience and also avoid being tarred with the same brush as the many athletes before them that were eventually caught pumping their bodies with performance enhancing drugs??

 

What? Why not? Knowledge is neither good nor evil. The only difference is the APPLICATION. Knowledge is APPLIED to good or evil.

If VC is applying his knowledge of nutrition to LEGALLY increase performance why wouldn't a boxer or any other top level athlete work with him? He is probably the LAST guy to pull some illegal crap.

And to all of you people saying "oh he did..." how much illegal crap have you done in your life and were just lucky you weren't caught? Unless you had some weird compulsion, it doesn't mean that all of a sudden everything you do in life is illegal.

Victor is clearly a man who knows how to assist in helping pro athletes get the most out of their abilities both illegally:rofl....and legally. And with his past legal problems its safe to say he's being "WATCHED" by the powers that be. So I'm sure if Ward is invovled with Victor he knows the potential problems his rep could have on his career but sure Ward is smart enough to know that he's not taking anything illegal under the guidence of Victor. I don't see a problem with Ward's choice if it works for him which it clearly does.
