Meh, the MMA forum is pretty much the only one that is not full of juvinile idiots. Don't want it ruined.
Brock Lesnar, the World Wrestling Entertainment champion, was once arrested for illegally possessing steroids, though the felony charge against the 26-year-old athlete was dismissed four months after his January 2001 arrest. Lesnar, pictured in the below mug shot, was popped by Louisville Division of Police detectives after receiving and opening a parcel that cops said contained a "large amount of steroids." Lesnar, a 295-pound former college wrestling champ, was in Kentucky training at a WWE facility. Hit with a trafficking in controlled substances charge, Lesnar was exonerated when tests showed that the seized pills were not, in fact, steroids. While a Louisville detective told TSG that the material was some kind of growth hormone, Lesnar's defense attorney, Scott Cox, characterized the confiscated pills as a "vitamin type of thing." According to Cox, officers seemed "very apologetic" when lab results cleared Lesnar. It is unclear how investigators concluded that the parcel sent to Lesnar may have contained illicit substances. http://mma.fanhouse.com/2008/10/21/brock-lesnar-storms-out-of-espn-interview-when-subject-turns-to/ Heres Brock doing his usual WWE cartwheels when confronted about IF he was on hormones.
nah bro, you can't. Me and all my friends have done them but different kinds. I look cut up because I took test with a 2000 cal diet. I got friends who swelled up off d-ball and all sorts of different looks. So you really can't tell. My goal was to stay the same weight to get solid and no-one can tell I took them. The just know I got a better body since the last time they saw me. Roids repair your muscle break down faster, it's still a natural process just artificially sped up. So there is no way you can tell who did and didn't.
Especially considering that Pro wrestling requires a bodybuilders physique and MMA doesnt. Exercising to look like a Greek God and exercising to be strong and explosive aren't exactly the same. IE I bet Lesnar doesnt do nearly as many situps now as he used to.
Its not definitive proof at all. Brock is hitting a pose there but its clear to see he was much bigger and harder. Its very difficult to get bigger and harder in a sport like wrestling unless your on some form of hormone. Since coming to the UFC Brock is still a massive man but alot softer. Either way he WAS on steroids when in the WWE and OVW.
No it does not. Vince McMahon is the one who has an obessesion with massive bodybuilding looking wrestlers. Guys like Jericho Flair and Angle although large men hardly look like bodybuilders. The gruelling regime they are on is what requires them to be on hormones. It allows them to train longer and heal faster. Muscle size and strength are intrinsic the two go hand in hand. You dont get one without the other. Explosiveness is determined by "how" you work out as well as your own natural ability. And sit ups arent a predeterming factor as to ab development. Abs begin to show when your body to fat ratio drops. Doing situps will only determine the thickness and depth of the muscle.
? Bigger abs pop out more than smaller abs? Obviously? You don't get a six pack without doing situps/crunches/some for of abdominal workout and the more of that work out you do the more your abs will pop. I understand that explosiveness has everything to do with how you work out, but so does physique. Working out to gain muscle mass and gain a perfect look is different than working out to gain strength and explosiveness. Also, I don't really know much about pro wrestling because it's stupid, so I defer to you about the whole pro-wrestlers as bodybuilders or not.
come on in his wwe days brock was probably on a lot more than growth hormone, im also sure he is on quite a bit of stuff during his training just in time for everything to come out of his system
