I would much rather have 10 Angulo's than runners like Mayweather

wrong. boxing is about hit and not getting hit back. what you on about, science won't pay the bills, it's the fighters that use the science that make the most money. ali, leonard, and now floyd.

Hey, I watched the fight since 5th round and after a few minutes I knew that the KO is only a matter of time. However I was cheering for Julio, because he boxed smart. Good fight.

Angulo actually cares that the fans see a good fight!! He said that in a quote

He cared so much that he skipped a media day and was extremely late to the weigh in. What a professional

I have boxed. It is like a receiver that isn't afraid to catch a pass in the middle. It takes guts no doubt about it. But look at how excited we are about these fights this past weekend, while everybody was pissed that Clottey threw no punches at Pacquiao, even Pac got frustrated with that. We just need the exciting fighters.
The Cotto Pac fight was a great example of two warriors eventually somebody was going to give in. Come on people even the judges see it as even if a boxer is leading clearly on the scorecards early and then kind of "runs" around the ring the latter part of the fight chances are they give those rounds to the fighter who did not run perfect example is (De la Hoya v. Trinidad)

You don't fight so your preference in styles is what you like to watch is just that...your preference. Fighters fight their fight, they don't go toe to toe to please YOU...so you';re wrong!!!

You are right it is my preference, I am not ****en Arturo Gatti over here. I am a fan. I go to fights to see a good fight. I went to Dallas to see Pac, but also because Clottey has a "granite" chin, thats what all the pundits said right. But thanks to Clottey the fight was very uneventful. I consider myself a good fight fan I appreciate someone like a Brian Minto, but I also appreciate Sergio Martinez. My point is, "is it so wrong to have an action packed fight?"

It is not wrong to want to see an action packed fight, but it's wrong to expect it every fight!

I think you, along with others, fling around the term "running' a little too freely. There is a difference between running away from your opponent and boxing his ass off with lateral movement.

Having said that, I do agree that boxing, just like any other sport, is about entertainment and all out offensive fighters brings that excitement more than any other style in boxing. Overly defensive fighters don't seem to get that. It's just as much about putting fans in the seats as it is about winning the fights. That's how you get paid for your efforts in the ring. The more you attract, the more money you make.
