...that would imply that I had any for him before, at least as a heavyweight. Haye has decided on the John Ruiz route (actually, Ruiz had more courage than Haye does), or more specifically the Don King-handling-Ruiz'-career route: Grab a belt, pretend you want to fight top guys and just go off and fight losers while marketing yourself as a champion. Tomasz Adamek is making Haye look like a fool and a coward. It serves Haye right. Haye could save face by agreeing to fight Vitali, but of course he won't, and thus it's best to just move on from the train wreck and farce that is David Haye's heavyweight "championship" run.
It's Wlad that's ****ed up the fight, not Haye, by insisting on a totally pointless mismatch against Chisora. Why not cancel the Chisora farce, fight Haye in July then fight Adamek in September?
Haye has now blown three chances of fighting a Klitschko. After a while, the "he really wanted it!" nonsense wears off. It's like Mayweather and Pacquiao: The drug test excuse might have worked once for Floyd. After the second or third time it has lost all credibility.
Haye is the most over hyped fighter I have ever seen. Never has a fighter accomplished so little and been so widely supported. Wins over an ancient Ruiz. Win over Valuelv who a 100 year old Holyfield almost beat. Wake me up when Haye actually has a good heavyweight resume.
Because he wanted a tune-up, of course! The problem being that a tune-up shouldn't be against an absolute pushover. Wlad could knock him out in the first if he wanted, so why bother? Seriously? A fight to lose ring rust is something like Ali against Bonavena or Quarry. Both tough guys who would apply pressure all night. Chisora isn't even the calibre of a tune-up fighter. It's just a farce that the fight has fallen apart over such a terrible opponent.
So, the first was when he pulled out because Setanta went bust and therefore he wouldn't get paid - fair enough I say The second was when he wouldn't agree to a bull**** offer with 2 rematch clauses, so he chose to fight Valuev in order to be able to get a better negotiating position - thats understandable I think And the third....is this now? When Wlad chooses to fight Chisora after everything was agreed with Haye??? Common man...
Haye's stance about the Vitali negotiations was that he and Vitali talked everything through personally and agreed. They shook hands and when the contract was received, it was completely different to what they had agreed upon. People called it "bull****" and an "excuse" amongst other things. Now we know that the Klitschko's have been unfair when negotiating in the past - The list of opponents calling out their negotiations is unprecedented - So why would people not believe Haye? I don't doubt for a second that what Haye said is true. Again though, no matter what reason Haye has not to sign, he's a coward. It's just ridiculous at this point.
Haye is a complete joke. If he wanted the fight he could make it happen. He wants to cash out on this fight because he knows this is his last big payday.
A superfight like Haye/Klitschko deserves proper promotion. Anyone who thinks they can properly promote it within 8 weeks, including their training camps, is an idiot. Anyone who thinks the fight doesn't need promoting, as a few have said, is an even bigger ****ing idiot. In a few years, people will look back and say "Haye/Wlad didn't happen because of a Chisora fight?" and it'll seem absolutely ****ing laughable. If Wlad is confident, why bother with Chisora? A meaningless, ****, boring, pointless ****ing garbage fight.
Figured it was a good spot to make your comeback and shake a little rust off? Haye looks to be the one who wanted to make the fight IMO but what the **** do I know
This is a joke. Wladimir could have made this fight if he made as many concesions as Haye did. Wladimir is the one who went back on the agreement this time. I said on a thread a couple of months ago that I thought Haye was up for it, why would he go straight after Wlad and fight for 2 mil when he could make about 10 mil by having 3-4 fights to get used to the weight which gives him a much better chance and makes the fight worth much more money? If Wlad continues to bottle I think Haye will just fight Chagaev and then Vitali before retiring (which is what Wlad wanted). Fact is Vitali is still the best heavy and Wlad only goes after his left overs, this would have been a great fight and Wlad would have to have been a slight favourite, it's just a shame he's a coward compared to other most other fighters at this level. Wlad nut huggers want to remember a big win for Vitali does not count as a big win for Wlad as well.
Yeah I agree Haye did want to cash out, it's the last year of his career, that's why he agreed to the fight in Germany but he'd still be coming to win because he wanted to fight Vitali after. They agreed on the fight and then Wlad went against the agreement to fight a 14-0 novice. Why not Chisora after so he can get so he can get some exp first and fight Haye instead. Wlad is another Sven Ottke.
