I wouldn't be surprised if Ward won a controversial decision over Kessler

You can't compare WArd vs Kessler to PAcquiao vs Cotto man its not even close. Pac had Cotto down twice, bleeding like a fountain from actual punches, and backpeddling for the last 5 rounds.

Ward vs Kessler was a convincing win, but nowhere near that kind of beatdown. It was a technical decision. You're banking on Ward "getting the momentum back" is totally different.

There was no momentum to get back .. he was in complete control of the fight.

"If you believe that Kessler wouldn't have just laid down and had to go for broke as he needed a KO that means opening up his attack and being open to getting dropped by the quicker, cleaner, more competent and confident fighter. Ward had approximately 1:20 of the 11th and a full 12th. That is an adequate amount of time when the momentum is at your back."

Ward got his second wind in the 9th/10th and in his hometown would have finished Kessler due to the crowd support and his proximity to the title. The stoppage was as much about the cuts as it was about letting Mikkel finish on his feet (rather than on his back). Mikkel's resistance level was rather thin - another active attack which was unfolding (and resulted in the stoppage) would have likely produced the very same result just a bit later.

That's fine. No amazement, man. The rarity is running into people and opinions I agree with ... (from or on ESB).

Ward won by intentional head butt allowed by his personal referee. If not for Ward's referee the fight would have been a really good fight.

Ward refused to fight in the tournament unless he had "all" his fights in his home town. Something is fishy.

 Dude, you are such a laughable f**king tool. The Klan is just full of the biggest idiots.

First, I don't believe Jack Reiss has officiated ANY Ward fights until this one. Maybe someone should check his AM record to be sure.

Second, you ***** about Ward having a "personal referee" and yet you say nothing about other blatant examples including fighters you jock ride.

    How about this:

    Lucian Bute

    24 professional fights

7 fights ref'd by Marlon Wright.

8 fights ref'd by Gerry Bolen

And that is not even looking at the judges

    Joe Calzaghe

John Coyle - ref'd and judge more than a half dozen Calzaghe fights

Roy Francis - ref'd and judge for about a dozen Calzaghe fights

Mickey Vann - ref'd and judge for nearly a half dozen Calzaghe fights

Paul Thomas - ref'd and judge for nearly a half dozen Calzaghe fights

Dave Parris - ref'd and judge for nearly a half dozen Calzaghe fights

Want to throw up Kessler and check his ref's and judges?

    Ya f**king IDIOT

Why did Ward back down on having all three of his judges? Why is Ward getting all his fights within his own venue?

It was controversial, if by controversial you mean a one-sided ass kicking.

Kessler didn't look good in that fight, but Ward's head-butts and elbows were complete bs. I wonder if Taylor's management will try to address the officiating before their fight.
