I'm at a loss to see why a fight against Hopkins is an attraction. I'd much rather see Joe fight Pavlik,Dawson or even Woods.

I think everyone would rather see the Pavlik fight but theres no way Pavliks people are gonna put him in with JC, Arum is a millionaire for a reason.

    1) Pavlik has to fight Taylor (im tipping Taylor to win by the way)
    2) Pavlik would have no reason to move up if he beats Taylor, he can make big money fighting Wright, Duddy and Unifications.
    3) Calzaghe would take out Pavlik in 6 rounds, Sure Pavlik is a big Puncher but Calzaghe takes Enzo Mac punches every day in sparring, all Pavlik would have over JC is power and JC has a strong chin!

I would rather see if Bhop could drag Cal into a nasty brawl...into a Bhop fight. I already know what will happen if he fights Pavlik. It would be ugly....Pavlik would get a schooling on why power isnt everything by a far superior fighter. I truly think Bhop has a way better shot than Pavlik it just wont be no where near exciting.

I'm very interesting in Hopkins vs. Calzaghe. I want to see what Hopkins is able to do in there at this age against another legendary champion.

Calzaghe - Hopkins is a cruel mismatch.

the only good thing about it would be laughing at the "Hopkins P4P number 4 gang".

By default, using their crazy logic, they would have to place Calzaghe as the P4P number one.

Calzaghe will have 2 fights in 2008 and then retire.

Hopkins in Spring and then probs November date agaisnt the winner of Jones if he beats trinidad, or Taylor if he beats Pavlik or Woods if Jones or Taylor dont win.

Calzaghe could possibly stop Hopkins on stamina.

Yea that is. A horrible grab and punch, illegal to the head, right hand lead then hold brawl. Not toe to toe. Thats probably what your thinking. Listen you have to show that man his respect, he's been dong this for a while. He can hold his own with anyone.

Calzeghe Vs. Hopkins is the fight that must happen next. The "Hopkins is old" argument is diluted by the fact that he still ranks top 5 P4P. I think Ward's boxed into a corner and is just trying to get more money, but if he throws a hand grenade into the negotiations, Joe needs to dump him and make the fight happen himself next. After Hopkins, then Joe will consider Pavlik or the other guys. Even if it's the least entertaining fight on the horizon, nothing else makes sense @ this time

id like to see pavlik calzaghe personally, but if he beats both then he has a real good resume.
