Ian Darke has left sky

Darke is overrated. Get Rowling and Woodhall in.

 

DAMN. Darke was the ONE commentator I respected and appreciated. He was good but I geuss the money for him is in football. DAMN.

 

I always told everybody here that Darke was a footbal man, but would they listen???

Good riddance to bad rubbish, thats what I say.

 

I like Smith. Woodhall would be an excellent addition as would the man, the legend Bunce!!!

 

She generally prefers Quiditch to boxing I've heard!!!

Love Darke and not the biggest fan of Smith doing commentating.

 

What I hate about Adam Smith though is having been Darkes understudy for years, hes picked up some of darkes bad habits, like being obsessed with how many rounds a boxer has fought in their pro career!

Darke always went on about this useless statistic, & Smith now harps on about it too...

Listen out for it, Darke & now Smith always talk about it like its really important, when its not!

**** news. Ian Darke for me was the best boxing commentator in the world. I liked trusted and respected his commentry.
Its just not the same with Smith. Adam Smith is more of a build up/interview man.

And by the way....John Rawling is awful. He commentates like you dont know **** all about boxing.

Darke was the man its a shame. But if hes gone where the money is then fair enough i suppose

 

or Rawling even!!!

 

Shame, I thought Darke was superb, best commentator Sky had for boxing and football (except possibly Bill Leslie) IMO.

I know Darke was hugely popular commentating in the States during the World Cup, but I'd imagine that he will commentate on some ESPN UK games?
