Rawling is awful. His voice kills the atmosphere. I even prefer Smith to Rawling

I don't mind Rawling but Darke is the man. It feels like a proper big fight when he's commentating.

Ian Darke can paint a picture for the layman while keeping it interesting and relevant for the hardcore

Rawling just dumbs everything down. And I swear he says "Duke" even when Mckenzie isn't even there.

Rawling might be a nice guy, but man is his voice annoying.

When Darke left Sky for ESPN, they had it written in to his contract that he could still do the occasional fight on Sky if it didn't impede with his ESPN commitments. He was down to do Wlad v Chisora in December before it was called off, but I think this was the first time he's been heard since the Magnificent Seven in September?

I imagine we'll hear him very occasionally, though hopefully a bit more often, because Rawling and Smith really aren't a patch on him.

    I like Adam Smith

but i now know why many find him creepy
I watched the watson interview and whenever nelson was asking a question or watson talking he sat with a strange posture and a very strange expression on his face...certainly odd

    Absolutely spot on!
Darke is miles better than Rawling and it is an education listening to Woodhall commenting on boxing.

I aint too fussed about darky on football but David Pleat is a great commentator and always tells you something you don't know, very knowledgable and doesnt just trot out cliches. I've always liked Pleat and Graham Taylor s well although many hate them.
