    Please tell me I'm not the only one who misses Ian Darke's boxing commentary on sky? He is a very knowledgable man who knows his boxing from top to bottom and he is clearly very passionate and a genuine boxing fan and I enjoyed watching boxing more when he was commentating

    Absolutely!! Nick Halling is a decent bloke, but he really should have stuck to Sky's NFL programmes.

    Ian darke and glen mccrory commentating in the 90's were the best boxing commentery team there has been in this country imo.

    Very knowledgeable and the proof being the commentary came naturally as the action unfolded.

    Posted many times on SKY the best link was him as main commentator with Paul Dempsey in the studio.

    Ian Darke gave the big fights that extra edge when he was commentating, him working a fight gave it that 'big event' seal of approval. Sky have never come close to replacing him.

    Ian Darke was always 1 of my favourite commentators Nick Halling can't come close to him.

    Yeah. Having viewed Nick for years during Skys NFL coverage it is not too bold of me to claim that Nick is much more suited to the studio, with Kevin Cadle, discussing NFL. Nick is actually an excellent studio man and his NFL knowledge is vast and his enthusiasm for the game obvious... Unfortunately that doesn't help his boxing commentary.
