So last night Ian Ended up taking a loss with the Towel coming in to stop a sustained beating to end up with.

Looked in poor shape and about 2 stone too heavy in my opinion, I still think he could have a good career if he got himself in shape and dedicated himself 100%.

Will he retire or carry on ?

    What do you think ?

Agree he could have a better career then he had if he got in shape. The othe big limitation he has is his shot variety, last night for example it was appalling as there wasn’t one. Had one shot overhand right, wasn’t fast lack of snap in it and was was getting sent with a telegraph.

Yeh he does get a bit predictable but I think his style adding a few more shots with a good level of fitness and a bit lighter on his feet could trouble most british/euro level heavyweights.

What id want to see Ian doing is getting his nutrition right and getting him out running see where his weight levels out at , I reckon it would be nearer 17 stone.

I mean it's common sense if he gets in shape he could have some big domestic fights and make some good money even win a British title he was out boxing whyte early and whytes making really good money if none of that can make this fat waste get in shape nothing will

I would pick a in shape lewison to beat Sexton problem

Could easily lose 2 stone, no idea how someone can be that fat when they’ve been training for 10 weeks...would be a lot more mobile and much quicker...

I don’t rate him though, a bit of a one trick pony as you say...get through 3 rounds and he hasn’t got the fitness to be a danger anymore...

Lewison looks finished to me in terms of an asset that is ever going to move up.

He has visibly put fat on compared to 2 years ago, and although very skilled and durable is just not dedicated enough in terms of diet and lifestyle to compete. At his advanced years and career that is clearly the end.

He could obviously carry on and be a punching bag, but any kind of ambitions in terms of moving up are clearly not there.

But if he was 100% fit he could still beat top british heavyweights or at least give them a dam good fight.

Yeah, he’s tough so he’d be game...didn’t give him a round against Joyce though...

Agree he should be around 17st. Think if he was that weight he would clearly Beat your Allen’s Sextons Cornish’s. At the minute he’s on a similar level

I have no interest in seeing Lewison box again. He had 11 weeks to train and was only seven pounds lighter than the Whyte fight. It's not hard to eat right. As a heavyweight he can eat far more than most boxers anyway. He's an embarrassing tub of lard but props to him for taking his beating like a warrior. Could have stopped when his eye was closed but kept fighting on.

Shame he can't fight his appetite.

Had anyone heard anything on his eye injury, it did look like an eye socket fracture?

I like Don Charles. Think he's been unlucky in that he's never had elite fighters to train and two problematic HWs who have gone into fights unfit many times. He's done a good job with Frank Bug.
