Apparently Lewison has pulled out because of injury. I was looking forward to the fight I hope they get a good replacement for Chambers.
Every time a boxer takes a major step up in class, one of them (mostly the one that is expected to lose) suddenly pulls out with an injury. I wonder wich % of those injuries is actually legit.
I get the feeling that Chambers would probably prefer a relatively large fight on the Channel Five card rather than in the Copperbox. Duhaupas or Pianeta would be acceptable for Chambers.
To be fair Id like it to be ***ton, but can't really see it. I reckon it might be the man who will take on anybody, anywhere, anytime. Michael Sprott.
so bored of buying tickets for ****** shows then fighters pulling out.dont get me wrong happens to other promoters and its the pitfall of the sport but seems constantly to be main event with ****** shows.
to be fair its not fair on lewison to fight someone at chambers level after 10 fights, id like to see lewison have at least another 6 fights before he faces chambers.
He is getting on a bit- he really needs to be more active. Not entirely sure why he split with Goodwin who no one has a bad thing to say about.
Good to see Eddie in there tonight. He looked at ease and he was going through the motions to get rounds. His handspeed is still among the top in the division, I think it's good to get back to basics and build his confidence up again. He also seems like a very likeable person and I can imagine the banter between him and the Fury's being top-notch. I don't think he'll want to face the Fury's and they are unlikely to want to face him but for them to all have that sparring will be really important going forward. It also says something that a top US heavyweight wants to train with Peter Fury, I've always thought his advice is very spot on and he seems like a good trainer. As for what next for Chambers, he should face a few solid European fighters that can last a few rounds and then eventually go in with Kevin Johnson (and absolutely outwork him) to get back into the top 10.
