We have two great events coming up in a single week (!) in UFC 105 11/14/09 and WEC 44 11/18/09. Discuss them.
WEC 44 should be awesome!!! Mike Brown vs Jose Aldo should be sick. As much as I like Aldo, I'm not too sure that he will be able to beat Brown. The guy is just beastly. Nevertheless, both like to bang so there will be fireworks!!! Can't wait!!! UFC 105 should be interesting aswell. Swick vs Hardy particularly interests me and I would love to see Dan pull it off, but he will have his work cut out against Swick. Here's hoping though!!!!!! Bisping's comeback could be interesting and Kang is a decent opponent. Couture/Vera doesn't really interest me tbh, but I'll watch anyway. As for the rest of the card, from a British point of view it should be very interesting considering the number Brits on the card.
I'd love to see a somewhat credible WW opponent emerge for GSP! And yeah, I'll probably shed tears of joy if Aldo pulls it off. Probably won't, though. :yep
I am not a big UFC fan. But I do like watching the elite fighters go at it. Machida vs Shogun was the best UFC fight I've ever seen. Very strategic, very fast, alot of thinking, alot of movement. The kind of fight I like.
You should definitely check out the WEC card then. :good Brown vs. Aldo will be an absolute blitzkrieg, the equivalent of the classic "boxer vs. puncher" match-up in the sweet science. Mike's got the rock-solid all-around game and Jose is just about the most explosive striker you'll see.
Yeah, GSP is in a bit of a tight spot when it comes to legitimate contenders as there really aren't any. They've either been beaten by GSP already or they're a few fights away still and that includes the winner of Swick/Hardy. I'm the same with Aldo. I would love it if he beat Brown!!!! Like I said before Brown's a beast, but at least we can take comfort in the fact that the fight should be awesome and Aldo will come out swinging!!
