No, you're right, he didn't. He did, however, beat the best Klitschko opponent quicker than Wlad did and that was something Vitali couldn't even do. He also beat Tua, who possibly ranks higher than everyone the Klitschkos have ever beaten.

To do that in 20 fights? Not bad.

Aside from that, he wasn't just a guy who beat Byrd and Tua. He was an excellent fighter. A harder hitter than either Klitschko, a granite chin, unbelievable stamina, a good puncher, a varied puncher, tough and skilled.

Your right. He did beat ONE of Wlad's best defeated opponents quicker. A guy who also made Vitali miss so much he hurt himself.

He took lots of punches to do it. I guess getting hit plenty then landing a lucky punch on a guy who gets too cocky makes you a world beater.

As for his physical gifts :patsch. The ****ing guy is the biggest juice head in the sports history. Even Evan Fields would of thought he was a disgrace.

Then again maybe I'm wrong. I guess all those overly aggressive mental issues were just hereditary.

So you think a come from behind win is more impressive than total domination twice?

Tua turned down a match with Wladimir twice and wouldn't even entertain facing Vitali..

Sorry but Ive gotta disagree with you completely on this . I watched Ike's career from the day he walked in Curtis Cokes gym in Dallas after arriving from Nigeria. When Ike arrived he was a crude brawler with limited skills. Curtis, one of the best trainers in the business, transformed him into the REAL DEAL the complete HW.
Had it not been for that money grabbing hooker in vegas I firmly believe Ike Ibeabuchi would have ruled the HW scene a natural successor to Lennox Lewis

Couldn't have said it better. Ibeabuchi is - HANDS DOWN - the most overrated fighter of the last 20 years, probably more. People attribute all sorts of mythical abilities to him on the basis of TWO fights against live bodies - one of which (Tua), he arguably lost. And the other was against a blown up supermiddle.

Ibeabuchi would be lucky to be competitive in this era. I wish he had stuck around long enough for the Klitschkos to expose him, then we wouldn't have to hear all this unsupportable nonsense about how "great" he supposedly was on the basis of TWO ****ING FIGHTS!!!! :patsch

Of course there was also the story about the car, kidnapped kid, and the brick wall...
And then there is the "mentalistic pugilism" or something like that??

I don't think we can blame Ike's downfall totally on a hooker...

    Ike TKO 5 Byrd

    Keep trying you'll get there.

Ibeabuchi would have never reached his potential. The guy's mental demons would have kicked in sooner or later. He also was probably the biggest PED abuser in the division at the time. You can also add several recreational drugs and prostitutes to his litany of vice's.

Typical how the usual cast of characters come screaming to the defense of some African baby raper over the Klitschko's. YEAH; It sure would have been great if that scumbag took over for Lewis and ruled the sports glamour division, giving it credibility and legitimacy.

They live vicariously(sp) through Ike for such transparent reasons.

And he went on to lose to Monte Barrett. Shows a lot about the Klitschko's choice of opponents to fight a man over 10 years past his prime I'm glad they never fought anyone like that..... oh wait Shannon Briggs.:hi:

And you think prime for prime Byrd beats Tyson. Don't be mad that Ike whooped your man crush's ass and knocked his head into the nosebleed seats.
