I checked that website that Ike Ibeabuchi and his representative Ben Wilson were promoting that would broadcast the fight, and I found out that he is probably no longer fighting Danny Williams, he's now fighting a fellow countryman Idris Afinni. Afinni is ranked the #13 cruiserweight by BoxRec of Nigeria and is 18-8, having challenged for the WBO African Heavyweight title against tthe same opponent and lost both fights. He's also 40 years old. BoxRec hasn't updated their page since, but I'm unsure what'll happen to Ibeabuchi
They probably decided it was not a great look to have Williams as an opponent given his recent record and health issues. An alternative opponent is definitely best here for Ike, that is if he goes through with a return.
I spoke to Danny this morning and he said he would keep me updated which indicates it’s not going ahead.
Ike must be about 50 now. Perfect opponent for Jake Paul. I hear JP gets aroused every time they pass a funeral home.
