Ibeabuchi = Overated!

It wasn't necessarily what he had already achieved it was the potential that he possessed

 

i never really saw Ibeabuchi when he was still around

i mean he was a big dude who was strong and wasnt a bad boxer

the guy had lots of potential but also some questions left unanswered

i mean maybe he beats Lewis and K2

or maybe one of the 3 knocks his ass into retirement

who knows

I guess if you're too thick to judge a boxer on anything else but his record alone then you got a point.

Ike would have beaten anybody not named Klitschko in the current HW division.

The last great black heavyweight that had the potential to be great was Ike.

 

As much as it pains me to say it, Audley had major potential and he came along after Ike was locked up

 

Audley looked promising because he had the size and boxing skills but his chin wasn't great. Ike pretty much had everything...power, speed, chin, and skills.

 

Nah, he was quality. Better than any heavyweight contender around today by about a mile. Ike had his flaws, but they were outweighed by the quality aspects of his game. When you compare him to one of the better contenders of recent years in somebody like.......Sam Peter, Ibeabuchi really is something to 'rave about'.

 

He destroyed Byrd who went on to beat Vitali in just over a years time. He also did something to Tua that I don't think many other heavyweights could do, and that was stand, trade and win.

Incredibly good potential. He would have wiped the floor with Vitali and Wlad in the early 2000's.

 

atsch What you fail to understand is people talk about what Ike COULD have been.

You are obviously bitter about something. Probably because someone said Ike could beat Lewis or something.:roll:

 

Ibeabuchi had great potential.

He fought and beat a better version of Tua than anyone else beat. He destroyed Byrd in a manner more impressive than what either Klitschko was able to acheive.

And he had only just turned 26 when he beat Byrd in his last fight, so had yet to even peak, if he was this good at this age he had the potential to be a great.

He would beat anyone in todays heavyweight division other than the Klitschko's.

Like I said, people talk about his potential at the time, what he could have gone to do. If you think he would have NOT CONTINUED TO IMPROVE, that's all on you. But you've probvided NOTHING in terms of why he's overrated. Just your opinion of him.

 

Wilson went the distance with pretty much every big puncher of the 90's. Wade went the distance with Razor Ruddock. David went the distance with Tua.

There's no shame in not stopping them.
