Clearly? What's the evidence of this. He picked a new promoter 8 months ago. It wasn't Bob Arum.
He turned down offers last year to fight in the States against both Santa Cruz and Russell jnr.
Last year he was ordered to box Galahad and pulled out injured. He then had the choice of boxing Galahad or be stripped. He boxed Galahad telling his fans it would be his last fight in Leeds for a long time. 4 months later he boxed in Leeds against the current world no.199. In over a year he hasn't boxed since.
The evidence would suggest that throughout all of 2019 and 2020 the only man he is happy to face is no.199 Sofiane Takoucht in Leeds.

@Bent-nose you keep mentioning that Warrington hasn't fought in over a year but I think you're forgetting there's been a global pandemic been going on which has impacted boxers' ring activity this year. Especially the higher level, higher paid ones. Plus Warrington could potentially fight before the end of 2020 which would put him the same as the boxers who did manage to get out for only one fight this year. And if he does get a fight this year, I'm another one who really hopes it isn't against Galawad, as their first fight was crap to watch due to Galawad's negative, spoiling tactics, whereas Warrington is usually very entertaining to watch.

13 IBF champions have fought in the past year.
    Those who haven't:
Spence was in intensive care but scheduled to box Garcia.
38 year old Golovkin has had 3 injuries and due to fight his mandatory.

Leaving just a 31 year old Nicaraguan light-flyweight and "The Leeds Warrior".
It would be nice if "The Leeds Warrior" does get out this year. The IBF have given him until the end of November unless it's his mandatory.

Not particularly fussed whether or not he fights a certified drugs cheat who will be in full spoiler mode if he gets a rematch.

The post you have quoted is about a champion defending his title. Warrington has not done this for over a year.
Galahad won the final eliminator in spectacular fashion.
Warrington will have to agree to fight someone.
The IBF are not interested in what you are fussed about.

You seem desperate for a boring drugs cheat to get another shot at a title and the domestic payday that comes with it. I don't care whether he misses out and Warrington agrees to fight someone else. That's not a comment on Warrington, it's a comment on 'Galahad' who IMO is lucky he's allowed to fight at all.

You also talk about the majority of fans and then when one voices an opinion start talking about the IBF and how they don't care about what the fans want.

Warrington can agree to fight someone. I would rather a champion defend his title. He hasn't for over a year.
Galahad won't miss out. He is mandatory for the title.

As has been explained to you by a lot of people in this very thread there has been a global pandemic going on that has prevented a lot of fighters from fighting this year so the over a year point you keep idiotically making holds little to no weight at the minute.

And if Roid Galahad fights someone else for the title he is missing out on payday he's unlikely to get elsewhere.

It’s getting a bit tiresome this by Barry. And it’s quite obvious that he knows that it’s his last chance for a payday.

Warrington has beat him three times already (FACT). And if/when they fight again I can’t see it being anything other than Warrington again.

Warrington has title unifications and big fights in America in the pipeline whereas Barry only has the Warrington fight to go to.

Barry is an undercard fighter and nothing more, as evidenced by his career so far.

I also think it’s telling that Warrington also has a bigger fan base in Sheffield than Barry.

13 out of the 17 have.
    2 have exonerating circumstances.
Warrington and the Nicaraguan light-fly might have to grow a pair soon.

How many of those were before lockdown? How many in the UK? The situation varies from country to country month to month.

    You're being silly here.

Lived in Sheffield all my life and have never met a Warrington fan. Where's your evidence Craig?

He grew a pair a while back, beating Barry three times

    Above poster is spot on
Warrington has options, Barry has one route

In Barry's 2nd and 3rd amateur fights 15 years ago, when he'd been in a gym for a few months and Warrington 7 years. Warrington admitted that he still couldn't land on him.
He pulled out, but was then forced to fight him in 2019 and received a gift.
Possibly Warrington will never be the same again. We don't know because he's only boxed the world no.199 since.
Barry doesn't need options. He's mandatory.

What did kid take out of him why wouldn't he b the same again. Not like they had a war or warrington was hurt at any stage. It was a hugging match that kid instigated.
He might b mandatory but warrington is the champ and beat kid b4. Remember and still.....
