I am really looking foward to this fight. Both guys can punch, are exciting as heck and good fighters. While therenot an elite level like Maywhether or Cotto, they are nevertheless fighters that fans should want to see. Any thoughts by the expertson here who will win and why? Looking foward to reading your opinions. Thanks.

Robert 'the Ghost' Guerrero, IBF featherweight champion

    21-1-1, with 14 knockouts

    vs.

    Jason Litzau

23-1, with 19 knockouts. Litzau was in a fight of the year candidate I believe about a year and half ago on ESPN's Friday Night Fights. I don't recall who the opponent was at this time.

Litzau gets hit cleanly waay too much. Against a good puncher like Guerrero, he's going to get stopped.

He's definitely a live dog. Guerrero's not the most consistent fighter on the block, and that's one of the first qualities to look for in determining who's ripe for an upset.

I wouldn't feel comfortable saying it's one sided for either guy, though I do give the edge in competition to Guerrero, and I would make him the favorite- but not as big a favorite as many on here. It should be a very exciting fight while it lasts- I'm expecting some fireworks out of it.

This is exactly how I am looking at the fight. I favor Guerrero, but not by as much as others on here. Depends if Guerrero shows up or not. Plus Litzau has been working on his defense and mental stability  for this match. Or in other words, if he is ahead on the cards halfway through he is going to coast it (given it makes it that far). Now whether or not he does that is another thing, because he is like Jermain Taylor; he gets hit and he loses it. Instinctive fighter. But don't be too surprised to see an upset people :hey . This IS the month of surprises after all

You know what? The first time I saw Litzau I was very impressed. He's quick, got power & got Charizma. Even is his tough fight againts Nolasco I'm still impressed because he's shown he's got heart.

Guerrero impressed me also when I saw his fights on ESPN. But lately he's fight becomes boring & he lacks natural speed but definitely got power.

I'm torn with this two. I like both guys but I enjoy Litzau fights better. And I predict in the past that Litzau will be at least a title holder. Guerrero right now is on a Mission, he's dedicating his fights to his ailing wife & he's a Christian so mentally he's on high spirit & will be mentally tough. It's hard to go against Guerrero But I hope Litzau wins this.

Thanks for the insights. The general consensus seems to be that Guerrero is a higher caliber of fighter mainly because of his better skills and Litzau's suspect chin. Should be an exciting fight while it lasts.
